"I absolutely love going to the Afghan Chai cart in Dupont! The chai is sooooo good, and they have both dairy and non-dairy options. The hot chai is freshly poured for you, or you can get an iced bottle. Don’t skip out on the brunch wraps! They are absolutely delicious. I’d been to their table in the Dupont Farmer’s Market many times, and I’m so excited they have a permanent spot I can stop by more than once a week! Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed."

"I stumbled upon the Afghan Chai cart on my way to the Dupont farmer’s market on Sunday. The brothers who ran the cart were super friendly, and told me the chai is their mom’s special recipe. They offered everyone in line samples of both the dairy (whole milk) and non-dairy (oat milk) options, and both were delicious! I ended up ordering the oat milk chai which is a bolder blend, whereas the whole milk chai is a bit sweeter while still wonderfully tasty. I learned they have a 1/2 and 1/2 option where you can blend both the dairy and non-dairy options, and you can also add a shot of espresso to make it a dirty chai. The chai was a warm pick me up on a chilly day, and while the flavors were reminiscent of the traditional masala chai most are accustomed to, afghan chai brought its own unique flavor profile that really set it apart from other chais I’ve tried (I’m no expert but I really did think their chai was divine). Make sure to stop by this cart next time you’re in dupont, as the flavors and owners’ hospitality are unmatched! I think Sunday was a special pop-up, but they’re regularly open M-F and post their hours on IG (@afghan.chai) :)"
