from Google & Yelp"Once I discovered Amorino Georgetown, I knew three things immediately: I had to go, they carried several of my favorite flavors, and it would be an experience. I was right on all counts. Located right near Key Bridge at the corner of 34th & Prospect Streets, Amorino feels like a little European escape tucked into Georgetown. I stopped by in the late afternoon, which meant no crowds and plenty of time to enjoy the moment. Inside, the space is warm and inviting, with a cozy upstairs lounge that feels like a chic living room. There’s ample seating, a restroom, a few board games, and an overall relaxed, polished vibe that makes you want to linger. Luxe, but not stuffy. They offer self-serve ordering kiosks, which makes the process smooth and efficient, especially during busier times. In addition to gelato, they also have macarons, waffles, and gelato drinks, so whatever your sweet craving is, they’ve got you covered. I was fully team gelato. And the gelato… wow. Artisanal, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. You can choose from small to large sizes and mix multiple flavors. The lineup ranges from classics like chocolate and pistachio to more vibrant options like mango, passion fruit, lime basil, and raspberry. The signature touch? Your gelato can be served in a rose-shaped cone, which instantly elevates the experience. It’s stunning and feels special before you even take a bite. I sampled several flavors and ultimately went with a trio of mango, passion fruit, and raspberry. Bright, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. It tasted as good as it looked, decadent without being heavy. Aaryn was fantastic. He encouraged me to try a few flavors, we shared some laughs, and he took great care crafting my cone into a perfect rose. That personal touch made the experience even better. Amorino has locations around the world, and having one right here in DC feels like a treat. If you love gelato, beautiful presentation, and a cozy, luxe atmosphere, this spot is absolutely worth a visit. 🌹✨"
"I found this adorable hot chocolate spot while walking through Georgetown, and it was such a pleasant surprise. They have an amazing range of flavors. I tried the gelato—dark chocolate, hazelnut, and tiramisu—and everything was incredibly smooth and delicious. Since it was cold, I went for their hot chocolate next. I was honestly amazed by how many varieties they offered. I usually go for dark chocolate, but I wanted to try something different this time, so I chose the hazelnut. Their signature hot chocolate is a must-try—they even top it with a macaron in any flavor you like. It tasted so authentic and comforting. The place itself is cozy and cute, and I’m already excited to come back in the summer to try more of their gelato. If you’re ever in Georgetown, you should definitely stop by!"
"OMG, such a fun place! The ice cream roses they make are absolutely beautiful, and there are so many flavors to choose from. I definitely recommend sampling a couple before deciding. You want to make sure you get one you really love. The staff is super friendly and patient, which made the experience even better. It does get pretty busy, so be prepared to wait, but it’s definitely worth it. Just a heads-up: it’s Georgetown, so it’s definitely on the pricey side — I paid $60 for four ice creams… yikes"
"Yummy! This is one of the best gelato I have had. I got the pistachio flavor which has a good nutty flavor and very creamy. The place was very busy and there’s plenty of unique flavors to choose from! Definitely recommend"
"I’m so happy Amorino finally opened in DC 😍 It’s pretty popular across Europe and I’ve loved it there. Happy to report that it’s equally delightful and delicious in Georgetown. All the flavors are amazing and fresh. Have to resist the urge to go daily. (half eaten child size passion fruit shown in photo)"
"They serve gelato how it's meant to be served! Not all out and about and piled high with "extras" and bright colors. So was happy to see this! Wasn't gonna..."
