from Google & Yelp"I am Turkish. The food tasted like homemade. We all enjoyed our food. I ate Turkish breakfast and my son loved the sucuk toast (panini) and menemen. The hot tea was actually hot and fresh. The owners, Cesur and Vugor, were very friendly and welcoming!"
"Amazing place! Owner works the cashier himself and he is so sweet, welcoming, and kind. He gave me an extra Turkish coffee and Turkish delight on the house upon check out! It was my first time here and breakfast is hot and delicious, and the Turkish coffee came in a beautiful cup and was truly a wonderful experience. Got two extra pastries to go to give to my friends and a punchcard to come back! Ran into lots of regulars this morning and everyone is so friendly. Would highly recommend supporting this very cozy small business (perf study spot btw)!!"
"Very good coffee and spice blends. I love how strongly the spices show in their specialty drinks! Additionally, the staff here is very friendly and fast! As for the atmosphere it is cozy and gives a slightly darker vibe than a lot of the other popular coffee shops on Wisconsin Ave which is a nice variety."
"It is such a letdown when you’ve had true Turkish food. It was my first time here and I was truly exited and hungry when I came in on a Sunday morning ordered two menemen and Turkish coffee (spent almost 50). The menemen came out quickly and the staff is very amenable. The food itself however was not so good :(. It was full of bland chunks of tomato when it’s supposed to be truly scrambled and mixed well together. It came with one basic slice of bread and some arugula with a sweet dressing sauce. The turkish coffee and Dibek coffee are, unfortunately, such a let down. It tasted like simple water without much any flavor. I would recommend going to Turkish Lady in Alexandria for a much better cup."
"I was so excited for this cafe after seeing so many good reviews, but they ended up being false. The shorgogal was hard as a rock and completely inedible. I took it home and nothing could soften it up. It was so dry and stale and even the flavor was deeply unpleasant if you could get past the texture. I paid around $7 for this and it was so bad I threw it out, and I never throw out a pastry if I can possibly eat it. I am so sad to have wasted my money on this and so incredibly disappointed in the quality of these baked goods. I can't think of a single redeeming feature. Was this 5 days old? It should never have been served to anyone. What a sad afternoon. The man behind the counter was nice but I just can't get over such terrible food at such a high price. Maybe the coffee is good, but please don't make my mistake and waste your money on the baked goods."
"Wonderful little cafe in Georgetown that has delicious pastries and breakfasts with a Turkish flair and lots of choices for coffee and teas. Absolutely..."
