from Google"What an awesome spot! John the GM is incredible at latte art and the entire staff was amazing! Raven and Amira were so helpful with explaining the best combos of the new fall flavors (hint: it’s the pumpkin spiced gelato & Swiss chocolate OR the dolce de leche & apple crisp sorbet)!!! They also let me try them all, thank you Raven & Amira! & John for the amazing PSL & beautiful latte art!"
"I’ve been a fan of Dolcezza for the longest time since I arrived to DC in 2018, but this location in particular won my heart completely. Apart from the shop’s very cool design, its manager John took amazing care of me as I took pictures for an article related to the story behind the business. His attention to detail, his care for the craft and his attentiveness really made my visit outstanding. Thanks to him and all of the staff for a really pleasant visit"
"Last night I went to get ice cream & Raven was the sweetest. Let me try all the flavors I wanted in order to make my decision. I had been crying right before so they really helped make my night. Raven was very knowledgeable about the flavor pairings as well as how the ice cream was sourced and made. A wonderful way to end my day :) thank you raven !"
"Really good Gelato. I got flavors i already like, and I can't complain. First time ever having Maple walnut flavored Gelato so I was happy to say it was really good. My other flavor was basic peanut butter ship, although I think i was given the wrong one cause it was like a chocolate chip and didn't taste peanut? Still was great. The only disappointment I had was not being able to see all the Gelato since it was in stainless steel bowls with a lid. Not the best presentation since they have a lot of flavors. That you can try. They also do coffee and tea, with some pastries items. Not sure if they are made in house or local shop. If not in house they definitely should network with a local shop since it doesn't seem like they have a huge spot for them. Seating was questionable, honestly. I saw window stool seating for like 6? And a table around the corner. This place is attached to something more, just not sure what. It didn't seem to inviting to look around for some reason. But not to say you can't? I just didn't. Aside from all that, the price was slightly high per scoop, but that's DC. They sell pints, but for $13.. no thank you. Doesn't seem like they have a big selling point or local tradition people fall in love with. Like specials, events or something to bring back the same people and grow memories. Kinda just a place to spot in for city convenience."
"Wow what a flavorful experience in the ice cream world. With a city under attack, h st street team welcomed us with gracious posterity. Their willingness to advise and reflect offered us a world-class trip through taste. Thanks Raven, Jon , and Alkie. They weren’t just ice cream purveyors, they are community service agents of hope."
