"In an area where the coffee shops are McDonald's and 7-Elevens, Gigi's Coffee Roaster is a breathe of fresh air. First opened inside and old liquor store on the United States of America's 249th birthday, Gigi's is one of the only independent coffee shops East of the River. Park out front or along the street. It's easy to find. When I walked in on a Friday morning, the two baristas were very kind and warm. It's clear they are proud of what they are building. They have a full coffee menu, including a very creamy and tasty Pistachio Latte. They also have wrapped pastries that come at a discount if you order a latte."

"A special, and unique spot. Was just passing by and stopped to get a cold coffee and knock out some work for DC HOSA Future Health Professionals. The Cocohesion was a refreshing coconut water, coffee, and sweet microfoam. Learned that this space just recently opened in July in response to the community wanting a neighborhood coffee shop. It’s not a spot to gather, but a quick pick up and go. Appreciated the Barista on staff today sharing their story. Picked up a bag to try, and will see how the roasted beans taste.
