What People Are Saying

from Google & Yelp

"The cafe's location, next to Capitol and the Library of Congress, makes it unique. Prices and quality of food are good. My wife and I stepped in the cafe when it was full of people and there was a long line in front of us. I can say that professionalism, timing, and positive attitude that the personnel is able to support in such atmosphere have to be mentioned and recognized. I'd say that it's exactly the staff working there that make that place keep up with so many customers. And I really liked my cappuccino, it actually was the best one that I had in DC during two weeks of my visit there. A young guy made it fast but good. If you find yourself in Le Bon, try it."

"Stopped by for a coffee break with a colleague. Good espresso and pastries … congressional offices are near by. It was quiet when we were there - but looks like this place can get busy. Highly recommend."

"If you have been to a cafe in Europe, you will appreciate the similarities between this place and cafes over seas. It definitely makes you feel like your in a cafe in France. Service was great and the food and drinks came out in a good time. It is a bit tight in there for seating, so be on guard for a packed spot. I think it's worth a shot, especially before/after touring the Library of Congress. Enjoy"

"From the moment I stepped through the door, the warm, inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and artisanal pastries enveloped me like a cozy hug. The decor is a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern minimalism, with exposed brick walls adorned with local artwork and plush seating that begs you to linger. I started with their signature latte, which was nothing short of perfection: velvety foam artfully swirled atop rich, ethically sourced espresso that had just the right balance of boldness and smoothness. Paired it with a flaky almond croissant that practically melted in my mouth—crisp on the outside, buttery and nutty within. For something heartier, I tried the avocado toast on sourdough, topped with heirloom tomatoes, poached eggs, and a sprinkle of chili flakes. It was fresh, flavorful, and elevated by their house-made herb-infused olive oil. Everything tasted like it was made with love and the finest ingredients."

"Perfect place for brunch while out and about in Capitol Hill. Our omelets were unbelievably delicious. We picked the build your own omelet with four ingredients. This came with a lightly seasoned ( not overly salty) fair amount of red potatoes. We were able to get a couple of fried eggs for our pup. Lovely outdoor seating with umbrellas, thus pet friendly. It does have a pack of maurading sparrows that will eat potatoes from your fingertips. So beware of unattended plates, but be kind also. This is a popular place for a reason. So be patient and enjoy. Shout out to the hard working crew !"
