What People Are Saying
from Google"This is a typical cafeteria happen to be located on the 6th floor of the Madison building at the Library of Congress. It has a salad station, Asian station, deli sandwich station and a Starbucks. I had the hot/cold foods for $9 per pound. It is open to the public but mostly staffers come here on their lunch break. Skip Subway and Dunkin Donuts downstairs and come here next time. Recommended."
"Food is always good, breakfast or lunch, for employees and visitors...can't go wrong with the wide variety that awaits you."
"I was not expecting a government cafeteria to actually be a place I'd choose to go but sometimes it's good to be wrong. Madison cafe has a rotating selection of good that is always fresh and gives you lots of options to suit whatever mood you're in at a gair price. Also boasts a nice view of the city."
"There are a lot of cafeterias in the Capitol complex, this is the best one. I'm a Hill staffer and I will happily take the time to walk across the Capitol complex to eat here when I get the time. If you are a book lover, this would be a perfect place on a slow afternoon to grab a book and plant yourself along the entire wall of floor to ceiling windows and enjoy the view with a cup of coffee and a treat."
"Normally this is my favorite cafeteria to eat at I'm DC but today, it was over run by 8th graders. The cafe did their best but you can only put a bushel of people in a bushel basket. The school year will be over soon and remember, people recognize it as a great value."
