"$1 coffee is the best thing I’ve ever seen! Yes, you can get an 8oz cup of coffee for only $1. That means you can get 40 ounces of coffee here for the same price as a 12oz cup from Starbucks! That alone deserves 5 stars. The food is also very well priced, and you can get breakfast for only $3 (or less). The spaces is also good for chilling or studying by yourself or in a group. If I lived close by, I would probably come here every day 🤷🏻‍♀️"

"I really enjoyed working here in this café. It’s inside MLK public library, on the first floor right around the corner when you enter. Their prices are pretty decent for a simple library coffeeshop. I ordered the hot latte with a roasted turkey wrap. Very delicious. They couldn’t heat up the wrap for me, though. I think the only do that with other sandwiches. But definitely consider giving them a visit if you’re studying at the library one day. There are other quieter rooms where you can study/read/work on the 2nd and 3rd floors. I’m not sure if you can take food up there, though."

"Great place for a cup of coffee, breakfast, light lunch or snack. Good food at very reasonable prices. Lots of room inside and tables outside in a lovely setting. And, because it's inside the MLK library, it's nice and quiet."

"Either they’re scamming people with the prices and pocketing the money, or doing something sketchy, but they say that prices have increased when you get your order completed but then it’s time to pay and it’s way more than you bargained for. The problem is they haven’t updated their signs IF THAT’S EVEN TRUE. If you are increasing your prices but advertising as low “community prices” then be about it, don’t talk about it. None of this false advertising nonsense, if you’re a typical business as anywhere else in D.C then don’t hide it, update your price signs to match what you manipulate us into paying after you’ve already prepared our food. Supposed to be all about inclusivity, diversity, and equity, my foot."

"I have been eating here since the grand opening and the difference is night and day. Items that use to sell out daily are no longer offered. Items that have remained have drastically reduced in size and or quality. Items with an elevated price because of location and convenience are now astronomically priced. I know you are located Down Town, but for that same reason your food must remain competitively good and not just passive. I see some customers still come for convenience, but we are all waiting on the next best thing to pop up."

"This little cafe has been essential for me on several different occasions. I've been working at the adjacent library at least two times per week over..."
