What People Are Saying
from Google"We spent a few quiet hours here on a Sunday afternoon getting some work done before flying out. The atmosphere in the courtyard changes with the light through the amazing ceiling. The high roofline allows for sound to filter through the space, mixing the conversations with the sounds of children and the water running across the floor. Truly a special place with an amazing aesthetic. The cafe provides sandwiches, small bites, and a continual flow of coffee to keep you moving. While we were there, they were setting up for a private dinner with 24 guests; adding to the allure of the space."
"Absolutely outrageous prices. Salad bar has decent options and the best value for the money, but it is filthy under the hood. I've posted a photo of the salad dressing section of the bar which doesn't appear to have ever been cleaned. Additionally, I've never seen such high food prices even at theme parks. $11.20 for a dinky pre-made chicken salad sandwich? Outrageous! The second star is present purely because the rest of the museum is free and therefore a good value."
"A serene spot to sip coffee amid American art! While the museum showcases icons like Warhol and O’Keeffe, the café quietly celebrates underrated talents like Marianna Lewis (b. 1930), a Midwestern painter whose vivid, introspective portraits and landscapes capture rural life’s quiet dignity. Her work—often overshadowed by contemporaries like Grant Wood—adds depth to the gallery’s narrative of American creativity. Pair a pastry with a moment of reflection here; art tastes better with a side of discovery."
"Wow! What a service… We go to a museum kid program every week, and often eat at the cafe; however today I needed a plastic knife to cut my homemade sandwich and asked for one on the counter. The male owner asked me if I had bought anything there today, and refused to give one piece of plastic knife!!!! What a ugly place !!!! Seriously Be a human!!!"
"I'm a bit bougie with my coffee so it felt like a convenient store at the airport - didn't expect the quality of the food nor coffee to be good. There weren't alot of food options and it was a bit stuffy. Now the courtyard in the middle of the museum is amazing."
