"OMG! The Smokehouse Sandwich at Sabeh Café, Irving Street NW, is ridiculously good! Timed my Geek Squad appointment at the Best Buy across the street so I could enjoy the quiet of the after lunch period. Critique re service and length of wait at this time of day, all positive."

"I had ordered an Iced Caramel Latte, it was disappointing and tasted weird and nasty. As an ex barista the espresso tasted burnt. I had asked for oat milk and caramel, I’m not sure which one it is but either one left the coffee look grainy and gave the coffee a sour and bitter taste. A simple 12oz ice latte is 7 dollars which is pretty expensive and overpriced for the taste."

★★★

"I used to adore this coffee shop (back when it was managed by different owners and called Tynan) the menu and quality of food is still incredible but the quality of service went way downhill. Less friendly and consistently mess up orders including making my food and coffee to go when I ask for it for here. I’d still recommend the coffee but it feels like we lost a neighborhood gem."

"Really don’t like new management. It’s 8:33am and I just walked all the way to get breakfast after getting groceries and it’s closed! Where are all the updates for this place? I used to absolutely love this place :("

"I feel terrible writing this review, because I used to live Tynan, but Sabeh is a lazy imitation. The menu is exactly the same but more expensive. The pastries are stale. The artwork is gone from the walls. The new staff is slow even after months of being open (there are two veteran Tynan employees who are great—they remember my usual order without having to ask me to repeat myself three times). Above all, the orange logo and polo shirts are so ugly. It used to feel like a hip cafe and now it feels like a knock-off Starbucks. I wouldn’t go here if it wasn’t the only coffee shop on the way to the metro."
