from Google & Yelp"I went on a Sunday at 11:00 am. The line was long, but luckily we found a spot at the bar. You order first, pay, sit down, and then they bring your food. I highly recommend the Lamb Meatball & Labneh Shakshuka, it’s delicious! Plus, the bread they serve with it isn’t just any bread, it’s really good! The yogurt with fruit and granola was also delicious. I had a hot chai latte and a cold one, both were good. The house breakfast plate, the donut and the pastry we ordered were just ok. Also, it would be nice if drinks meant to be enjoyed there were served in cups instead of disposable glasses. The service was great despite the crowd, but the bathroom was terrible, they really need to improve that."
"I had a terrible experience at this business and I do not recommend you spend your money here. This restaurant is deceptive as it appears to be an elevated cafe experience but it operates like a greasy spoon diner. A nagging desire for capuccino and a sweet pastry led me to Tatte. The cashier was pleasant and rapidly served my slice of carrot cake. I informed the cashier that I planned to dine-in. However, I was only given a fork and a plate. I had to ask for a napkin. The cashier mumbled something and pointed towards the far corner of the pastry display case. I was instructed to get the napkins myself. I sat down and waited for 10 minutes or more. It took so long to get my coffee that I finished the cake without a hot beverage. That delay ruined my experience. After looking around the cafe, I noticed that while it was fancy and spacious there was only one coffee station operated by one barista. No wonder service was slow! When my cappuccino finally arrived, the server provided me a cup and saucer without a spoon or stirrer! So, I had to get up, again, to search for a spoon. That was absolutely disruptive and negligent. Moreover, these oversights undermined the sophisticated ambiance and dine-in experience the owners want you to believe you will have. Worst of all, the coffee lacked complexity, so the coffee flavor profile was flat. A waste of my time, money, and expectations. Clearly, this cafe is punching above its weight. I give it an “A” for being aspirational, but it gets an “L” for loss of credibility because it uses decor and product placement to distract consumers from its inefficiencies. Fifteen dollars for a cup of coffee and a slice of cake (not to be consumed at the same time) is an excessive price for a pedestrian experience. Don’t waste your money or time at this cat fish of a cafe."
"Stopped by Tatte Bakery and tried their special Honey Baklava Latte, breakfast, and the Pistachio Croissant. The croissant was absolutely amazing — buttery, flaky, and full of pistachio flavor! The latte was nice and unique, though I wish it had just a bit more of that baklava sweetness. Overall, a lovely spot for breakfast or coffee — cozy vibe and delicious treats."
"I’m torn about the review. I’m not personally too impressed here but the food is not bad. There’s no clear indication of where the line starts or end. When it gets busy, the customers are basically on their own. The staff have very limited care. Duck hash meat was a little overcooked to me, husband likes it a lot. Sandwiches with croissant was good. Tried the Pistachio latte, the pistachio paste is very thick. Great as a dessert, very filling. We ordered some pastry to go. A guy tried to put our things in a paper bag, he tried a few ones and decided to not put our stuff in a bag in the end. Before they handed us our order(a box and two bags), one of the bag with cookies fell on the floor. I saw it from a distance (they didn’t think anyone saw it) and waiting to see what they’ll do. They did nothing, just called my name and handed everything to me loose without a bag."
"Such a lovely, consistent coffee house and bakery experience. The environment and aesthetics are nice and relaxing, the food selection for pastries, sweets and meals are great. Love the new summer tea choices along with their tried and true coffee choices. Prices for drinks are similar to Starbucks, but with a more elevated and welcoming experience."
"After dinner at a Thai restaurant in DC, I took a breezy walk through DuPont Circle and stopped for a sweet treat. There's something about Washington, D.C...."
