The tiramisu was classic and well-balanced, the raspberry cake with cream was fresh and delicious, and the chocolate cake was rich and smooth without being too heavy. "Open setting and varied seating options available (on a barstool at the window to people watch or at a small table). Tatte has many options for your palette. Sometimes I wish the desserts and sweets were smaller so I could get 4 different items instead of 1 giant brownie. I love a place where I can have breakfast anytime of day.....the crossaint sandwich is my favorite. Tomas is super delightful. He walks around checking in with seated patrons and checks to make sure you are satisfied with your order. The barista was also very kind but I missed her name."

I was killing time before my flight back to Cali and mentioned how expensive my breakfast was at The Melrose. Oscar’s authentic surprise and our subsequent 'chit-chat' turned a simple transaction into the highlight of my trip. When he reached out to shake my hand, I was genuinely moved. People like Oscar are the reason customers return. I left a $10 tip as a small token of my massive appreciation, but Tatte needs to recognize him formally. He is the heart of this location!"
