What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Very reasonably priced place. I didn’t really get any to eat or drink. It was more of a cafe than bookstore. A little different from what I thought it would be. But a good community spot for a cause. I did see them handout food drink to the homeless. ❤️"
"I really enjoyed my Americano there today. I stopped by before an event and was greeted with huge smiles at the counter. Both employees were jovial and kind. The place was clean and seemed well-kept. There was a wonderful assortment of books and items for sale. Not a bad spot for a coffee! Would recommend to anyone in this part of town!"
"I love potters house! they have the best iced latte that I've tried in the admo area thus far. I come here everyday to work and focus - such a cute place, nice staff, and great events [i.e. they have spanish club every monday here after hours that I attend as well]. A staple of the admo community - highly recommend. one downside is the wifi can be kind of slow esp for calls, bring an ethernet cable or use your hotspot if you have it"
"Absolutely lovely place, will definitely visit again! The atmosphere is definitely the standout of this experience. The shop is filled with great, and timely, books to purchase and read. The seating was plentiful, the place was clean, and the table toppers were cool historical figures. Great place to come and study. Service was quick and they were very kind. My coffee wasn’t as hot as I would have liked, but this is mostly a nitpick."
"This is a marvellous place to come and work by yourself, chit-chat, or read while sipping coffee and perusing social justice-oriented books. Music can be kinda loud, but the songs are often great. Decent savoury food menu, too, including egg & cheese biscuits and vegetarian options."
"Superb coffee house that has been in Adams Morgan for well over a half's century, featuring memorable local arts, and books that irritate conservatives..."
