What People Are Saying

"Nice English pub in DC but ridiculous prices and slightly second rate atmosphere. I'm English, but.... 28 dollars without tax for a Sunday roast? With tips that comes to around 30 pounds. Only the fanciest places in London would go anywhere near charging that. Cmon guys. Roasts and English meals are a traditional meal for the working class in a football pub which is for the working class. Maybe Americans don't understand about British culture, for which I'll give them the benefit of the doubt... Even if I was Elon Musk, I'd refuse to ever pay that out of principle. Especially as across the road people are camping out at bus stops and begging for cents. And maybe shouldn't you put a bigger emphasis on creating a friendly, vibrant atmosphere with prices like that? I.e. having people who are incredibly nice and relaxed? I've noticed in DC, there is this atmosphere of not being very friendly. But can't you buck the trend and revive the old English Spirit? It might make me want to come back! The pub building itself is really nice and reminds me of home with the football scarfs on the wall and wooden panels etc"

"This is the best pub I've ever been to. I'm 13 who just got into soccer and we came here to watch Manchester United vs Arsenal. Service was nice and quick, and the staff were really nice. When I ordered steak and eggs, I wanted the eggs scrambled, but they came sunny side up, and I was fine with that. The chef came out about 5 minutes later with free scrambled eggs, and it was the nicest thing a chef has done to me. The owner had a friendly conversation with us, and he said that I should be a Liverpool fan. I'll consider it :D Best pub/restaurant I've ever been to, will come again for sure."

"I’ve been craving fish and chips for days and this place did not disappoint. Queen Vic offers delivery via Toast and doesn’t charge an arm and a leg like DoorDash does. I got the fish and chips & Tikka Masala delivered. I live 35 minutes away and the fish still arrived crispy. Large portions for the price, I had left overs. Only critique is that I wish my order came with some malt vinegar packets, and a side of curry sauce would be a great. I’d 100% come back and sit down to eat."

★★★★★

"This place is legit. I wanted a traditional English style breakfast like I had while traveling in the UK a couple years ago. This place was the first result and I’m glad I stuck on that. That breakfast was exactly was I wanted and there was even an Arsenal game on to indulge in the atmosphere. Additional bonus for them having HP / Brown sauce. I’ll be headed back here soon. Staff is super friendly and helpful."

"The food was amazing, there weren’t a lot of options, but the chicken pot pie was amazing, I would eat it again. We went on Saint Patrick’s Day, so it was a little bit busy, but it seems to be an amazing place to hanging out."
