What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Went to this place for the Christmas bar atmosphere, drinks, and some appetizers. It was decorated to the hilt, lots of lights, trees, and decorations all around. Pretty cool. The drinks were ok. Our party had a couple s'mores espresso martinis, a peppermint espresso martini, and a hot chocolate sampler. All were somewhat unique, but just ok. Definitely not worth the $20 each cost. My wife also got the Campfire Hot Cocoa, which again, was ok. We also had three appetizers: the beef brisket dip, guac and chips, and halloumi. The beef brisket dip is way more queso/cheese and not much brisket. Average at best. The guac and halloumi were both good. Service, again, just ok. Took a bit for our server to initially get to our table. After that, she was fine. Overall, cool decorations for Christmas, but the drinks and food weren't great and not worth the price."
"Urban Roast has been on my radar forever, and the other day I finally wandered over to peek at the menu… only to realize they were OPEN during the afternoon. The real surprise was what waited inside. From the street, you’d never guess there’s a full-blown holiday wonderland tucked behind those doors. The moment you walk in, it’s pure transformation with festive, themed rooms, twinkling corners, and cozy details everywhere you look. Before I could even take it all in, TK (manager and possibly an owner) welcomed me with the warmest greeting. I had just eaten lunch and wasn’t planning to stay, but the décor pulled me in immediately. TK encouraged me to explore, grab a seat, and enjoy the space; so I ordered a blackberry mojito mocktail, which was refreshing and hit the spot. I didn’t eat this time, but trust me… their menu has multiple dishes I would’ve ordered on the spot. The vibes, the service, the ambiance all felt right. Visiting in the late afternoon turned out to be perfect because it wasn’t crowded, which meant I could wander, admire all the details, and discover endless holiday photo moments (yes, even the bathroom is a whole moment). Urban Roast officially made my “NICE” list for the holidays season; and I already know I’ll be back throughout the season and well after the holidays are over. I have a feeling the vibes stay strong year-round; the festive décor just takes it to the next level. The space is surprisingly large: ✨ a bar ✨ a main dining room ✨ a cozy, intimate section perfect for tables of two ✨ another dining nook ✨ plus outdoor seating with fire pits If you’re looking for a festive escape, holiday photos, or a fun, cozy spot to unwind, Urban Roast delivers."
"This was by far the best experience I had in a long time. Everything was on point. From the time we went in until the time we left, everything was amazing. The ambiance… I was literally speechless. I give it 10 stars. My daughters love the s’mores. We loved it, a good way to bring in the new year🥰👏🏽"
"went in a party of 4. we ordered 4 drinks, one order of smores, 2 belgian waffles and 2 lunch/dinner items. the drinks took a while to come out, but were good. by the time the two of us received our waffles, the other 2 still hadn't gotten our meal. our waiter didn't let us know about it until we asked about it nearly 30 minutes after ordering. we ended up cancelling those items, and our bill was still $70. decorations were very cute though :)"
"RUN AWAY from this place. People come here strictly for the aesthetics: the lights, the decor, the “vibes.” If flashing lights and ambiance alone impress you—things that would entertain a child—then you might enjoy it. But if you’re an adult who values time, money, basic service, and good food, go literally anywhere else. My friend and I had a 7:10 pm reservation and arrived on time. Despite this, the lobby was packed with 15+ people and we weren’t seated until 8:20 pm. That’s over an hour of standing around with a reservation. Once seated, we placed our drink and food order, only to be told they were out of crab cakes. My friend ordered a Caesar salad instead; I ordered chicken teriyaki with rice and broccolini. The table next to us was seated after us and placed their order at the same time. About 15 minutes later, my friend asked if she could change her order. The server said he would check with the kitchen and came back 10 minutes later saying the food was already being plated and couldn’t be changed. Fine—we said just bring the food. Except the table next to us received their meals. We waited another 30 minutes. When the server finally returned, I asked where our food was since we were told it was almost ready half an hour earlier and the neighboring table had already finished eating. He apologized, checked again, and then suddenly said my friend could change her order after all—clearly because our order had never been started. By the time the food arrived, it was 9:20 pm—two hours after our reservation. The food was terrible. My friend’s salad had bland, unseasoned chicken and no flavor. My teriyaki was just okay at best—Trader Joe’s does it better. No appetizer, no comp, no accountability. Getting the check took another 30 minutes, and the server disappeared for long stretches despite the restaurant being small. To top it off, when staff cleaned the table next to us, cleaning chemicals were sprayed and drifted onto my friend while she was eating. I paid $50 including tip and would have genuinely preferred fast-food. If aesthetics alone impress you, this might be your place. If you’re an adult who expects competence, service, and edible food—save your time and money. You cannot PAY ME to come back here."
"This place is brand new. Not even on yelp yet. This place is right next to zooz. I am not sure if this place is a coffee/breakfast place or a night..."
