What People Are Saying

from Google & Yelp

"Traditional dining style of couches and low tables beautifuldecor. Service is good. Menu is very good. We had lamb and chicken kebabs, tabuli, mint tea, spanikopita, and Lebanese coffe. Prices are fair. Parking is limited along street, but worth a block walk. They have a patio. Comfortable for groups of 8 or less."

"Good food and even better customer service. You’ll feel at home for sure. The meat was very tender too😋 (the reason I’m giving 4 stars is because my rice was kinda on the cold side.)"

"It was my son's birthday and my parents live about 2.5 hours away so we needed somewhere to meet in the middle for a birthday dinner. Also, for complicated reasons my parents won't eat where pork is served, are vegetarians, and my husband is allergic to most vegetarian friendly proteins except beans and some seeds (luckily he loves fish). We've navigated all of this before with varying degrees of success but usually something isn't quite right: good food but uncomfortable, closes too early, bad ambiance, or bad service. There have also been places with bad food but a good ambiance and all permutations in between. When I saw there was a bar and hookah offered I was a little concerned about my small child and WASPY parents. The night we went it was pouring and we were tired and I was very prepared for things not to go very well. Happily, after walking through the loud smoking area and past the bar I was greeted by a well lit, sumptuously decorated room. Beautiful inlaid tables from Morocco, gorgeous tapestries, and cozy comfortable couch style seating and hand painted wall decor. It was an amazing scene to walk into after being cold, hungry, tired and anxious. It really was like stepping into another world - something straight out of Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves. 🙂 We ordered tea and soup for everyone and it was delicious. We sat comfortably and drank tea and soup and ate french fries (the nicely battered kind) as appetizers in a beautiful and comfortable room with friendly and accommodating wait staff - I really can't say enough good things about our experience. Some rowdy, obnoxious boys were behaving badly and even that didn't ruin our mood because everything else was so wonderful. Best of all, they were open until midnight so we had plenty of time to eat, open presents, sing, play a game and spend time together in this gorgeous, comfortable, otherworldly setting. One warning: the food is good (we eat a lot of middle eastern food for the reasons explained as above) but the portions of the main courses are HUGE, really, really HUGE. We took our leftovers home and we will get at least one more meal and a snack and we only ordered two main courses, falafel and a salad for four adults and one child. We will *definitely* be back."

"We discovered Ali Baba Mid Eastern Restaurant while browsing Yelp for local recommendations, and I’m so glad we chose this place! Everything about it—the food, ambiance, and service—was excellent. Overall Ratings: * Restaurant: 5/5 * Service: 5/5 * Food: 5/5 * Parking: Street parking & back lot available Restaurant Atmosphere: I love the authentic décor and the thoughtful layout. The restaurant offers three distinct seating areas: -A main dining room with booths and chairs -A traditional Middle Eastern seating area -A covered outdoor hookah lounge I was initially concerned that the hookah smoke might affect our dining experience, but the setup ensures a comfortable atmosphere for everyone. Service: The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They offered great recommendations and, best of all, provided efficient service. What We Ordered: -Spanikopita – Delicious. -Lamb Tajine – Absolutely delicious! -Moroccan Chicken – The chicken was unbelievably tender and flavorful—one of my favorite dishes in a long time. The portion sizes were generous! Almost every guest, including us, left with leftovers. Final Thoughts: Without a doubt, I’ll be returning soon to explore more of the menu. Ali Baba Mid Eastern Restaurant has easily become one of our favorite spots in Delaware!"

"The place was nice. There were Arabic songs playing. It was quiet only my friend and I were eating. The price was kinda expensive but you get tons of food."

"I would give it zero stars if I was able to. They had no one in there. The ambiance was not what was expected. They charge $25 a person for entry fee..."
