from Google"I held my daughters baby shower at the Centreville Place Cafe and everything was absolutely perfect. The food is outstanding and the staff is friendly and exceptionally accommodating. From the planning to the event day the owner Liz was attentive, flexible and receptive to all of our ideas. She helped us pick the right assortment of yummy food to round out a perfect menu for all types of guests, including gluten free and vegetarian. Liz has a gift for adding beautiful touches to everything that makes it feel very personal and special."
"This cafe is like stepping back into Victorian America while sipping and munching of tasty coffee and pastries. They have several rooms on the second floor that looked like space for private dinners, or meetings, but the true highlight was the front room with the large windows and the perfectly decorated seating area. Just gorgeous! A must see."
"We decided to grab a late lunch once day last week. I order the quiche with a side salad and my husband had the Dijon Sandwich. My quiche was a little disappointing. The crust was heavy and soggy..the texture made me think it was heated in a microwave vs an oven and the texture and flavor of the quiche Lorraine itself tasted and felt like it had more egg whites than eggs or cream..very little bacon or cheese. And my side salad was just lettuce. My husband's sandwich had a delicious flavor; chicken breast wasn't dried out but the croissant was tough. We enjoyed sitting in the new tables out back."
"I visited with my family for some tea on a Saturday. First course: deviled egg was lacking flavor and under seasoned. The salad was very fresh and yummy, though. The tea sandwiches- cucumber and cream cheese was rather heavy than refreshing. Egg salad was flavorless with egg shells in it (I let them know, received no apology of any sort). Pâté sandwich was not appealing to me. I can see some people liking it but my table did not. Curry turkey was amazing- well seasoned with lots of flavor. Curry was not overpowering. It was well integrated and balanced with other ingredients. Scones were not good. The plain scone had an interesting smell to it. Clotted cream was runny, lemon curd was mid, but the berry (raspberry?) jam was delicious. It was odd that they serve scones the last, AFTER the sweets. Traditionally it is sandwiches, scones, and sweets. The sweets were good (except for madeleine). Especially the fruit tart with strawberry on it! It was very yum. Strawberries were also quite fresh."
"3rd time I came, and every time I order, I get pastries. Every time two items take 20 minutes. Great place good food, but if you're on a schedule for the day, I advise looking elsewhere."
