"Ordering take out from this place is always such a disappointment. When you go in person everything is so fresh and beautiful but when you order take out they just throw whatever they can find on the plate as if they are annoyed that you are ordering take out. The first time I did they sent me a bacon egg and cheese bagel with only one piece of the bagel so really it was an open faced sandwich EVEN AFTER I CALLED THEM TO ENSURE THERE WOULD BE NO MISTAKES. NOW, I just ordered again to see if maybe that was just a rushed day and they might’ve just forgotten and they just sent me a bunch of burn French fried with everything bagels that have nothing on them so more like “nothing bagels”. I asked for my eggs over medium they made it over hard and they added more than the requested bacon so now it’s just a bacon bagel with burnt French fries. I put explicit and CAPITALIZED words with clear instructions and they still couldn’t follow them. To the business and the staff, if you do not care for having the presentation on take out dishes be the same as your dishes in home PULL your business out of the delivery services where you have made it available that way people know this is the kind of place where you are forced to go in person and eat your food in the store or just order it to go but IN PERSON. Every time I get food from this place I am always so excited but the two times I have ordered take out have been huge disappointments."

"I went in for breakfast with my boyfriend and we both ordered omelettes and coffee. What should have been a simple meal turned into a $44 bill because of hidden up-charges the waitress never mentioned. Every single topping was an extra charge ($0.99 each, $1.49 for cheese, and $2.29 just to make your omelette with egg whites). None of this was explained up front. On top of that, our waitress never checked on us. I had to wave her down two or three times just to get our coffees refilled. Her name is Atara. When I asked for the manager, a heavyset male came out, didn’t give his name, and told me the charges were “written on the menu.” I explained that I had asked the waitress for recommendations and she suggested omelettes—at no point did she inform me about the extra costs and ask if that’s ok. Nearly $20 of the bill was unexpected charges. The manager only offered to take $6 off, then gave me attitude when I said that wasn’t enough. He even sarcastically asked if I wanted him to “put it on the up charges on billboard.” Instead of addressing the issue professionally, he dismissed my concerns and walked away. The food itself was mediocre at best, and between the poor service, hidden fees, and rude management, it was a disappointing experience. If you go here, read every line of the menu carefully, because they won’t bother to tell you about the nickel-and-diming. I won’t be returning."

"Since seating is limited during breakfast hours, my orders are typically to go. This was my fourth visit since moving to this area & it will be my last. They have yet to get an order correct & there is no excuse for this happening 4 times. This morning I clearly stated my order of a well toasted, plain bagel with scallion cream cheese & lox. What I got was an un-toasted sesame with scallion cream cheese. I should have questioned the person when the bill was lower than anticipated. However, he was in a mad rush to tend to the growing line & I was late for an appointment. Having this happen on 4 different occasions is too much. Especially with all the competition. I prefer to spend my money elsewhere & enjoy what I order."

"Not enough people at the counter to take our orders. Bagels are good, but not great. Nicely chewy. Too little flavour, not much more than white bread. Nice, large seating area, clearly popular with the local population."

"Bagels & Works is a must-visit spot for bagel lovers in Boca Raton! I had the tuna bagel with cream cheese and it was delicious. The bagel was fresh and chewy, and the tuna salad was packed with flavor. The coffee was also excellent, and the service was friendly and efficient. If you're looking for a quick and satisfying breakfast or lunch, I highly recommend Bagels & Works. Flat and Everything bagels are fabulous"
