"Lovely little spot! Came here with my partner on vacation, drawn in by the name. Staff was very kind, and playful when I gave them my name. It was a super groovy atmosphere and interior. It was relaxing and playful, perfect for a brunch date, but there were also plenty of people working with laptops and reading. 10/10 would recommend if you’re looking for a refreshing bite with a homey atmosphere."

"First time I’ve been to this place. Very friendly staff, the place is nice and has a cozy atmosphere. The coffee was fresh, and tasted good. They have a lot of breakfast options, and whatever I got was delicious. The staff were friendly and even brought the food to my table (which they didn’t have to) . It’s the perfect spot to relax, catch up with a friend, or get a little work done. They also had plenty of plugs which made it easier to work anywhere within the coffee shop. I highly recommend Carmela’s to anyone looking for great coffee and an inviting place to unwind. **Bathroom was very clean even though they only have one unisex one."

"Had such a great time here that we had to come twice on our vacation! First time we were just blown away by the food—the shakshuka is incredible—and amazing customer service. We came back again today for some brunch and mentioned it was our anniversary, and assistant manager Jacob brought us a hot brownie on the house. We love it here!!! "No disclosure about credit card fee. Salmon was pale pink which makes me wonder about quality. Peach chamomile tea was rank, so much so that my entire table made an involuntary 'yuck!' face when trying it. Pros: Coffee, turkey sandwich, and avocado madness salad were delicious !!! Atmosphere is nice and I would enjoy spending time here reading or journaling or playing chess with a friend. Also need to try the empanadas - they looked great"

"If you need a break from Starbucks and Dunkin - try Carmela's. The coffee is superb - I had a Cortadito and it was perfect. My friend had an iced coffee with coconut milk and also delicious. We shared an avocado toast with arugula and everything but the bagel seasoning - one order was more than enough for the two of us since it came on a very think slice of sour dough bread. Really nice and will start putting this in the rotation. Next time I will look for a more protein based breakfast item!"
