from Google & Yelp"What a hidden gem! Cork & Beans is the perfect blend of cozy charm and big-city café sophistication right in the heart of Dunedin. I had a chocolate latte that was absolutely delicious — rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a unique mix of coffee shop by day and wine bar by night. I especially appreciated the quiet corner where I could work on my laptop without distraction, while still enjoying light conversation. Whether you’re looking for a morning pick-me-up or an evening glass of wine, this quaint little spot delivers. Highly recommend stopping in!"
"Was not impressed and rarely do I write negative reviews. I presume the owner was behind the bar when I walked in, not much of a greeting. Maybe if you’re not a local they don’t go out of their way or this could have been an off day, everyone has those. The double shot espresso was good, I wanted it to go but again there wasn’t much of a conversation and a red flag is when you don’t wash your hands, especially when you’re making nasally or congested noise. The other red flag is milk temp, in this case almond milk heats faster than whole and is harder to get textured, but that wasn’t even an effort made in this process. The milk was steamed beyond desired point and 10 minutes later, still undrinkable."
"So many flavor options!! This little spot in Dunedin is worth the drive/walk/bike ride. It gets crowded quick (small space inside) but large covered patio area is fantastic during the cooler months. I haven't tried any food yet but haven't had a coffee in 4+ years that wasn't perfectly balanced."
"Stopped here to have a glass of wine and had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The person behind the bar didn't greet us when we walked in. She acted so annoyed. She didn't even know what wines she had on the menu. I asked for the Cab from Argentina and she got real defensive and said they didn't have wine by the glass from Argentina, that they only had one from California. My husband had to show her the menu with two Cabernet's one from Argentina and from Cali and she just said oh and started looking all over for the bottle. She proceeded to pour a glass for herself first before she poured mine. Her boyfriend was sitting in the corner with a dog and he walked by with the dog and I tried to make conversation about the dog and she didn't say anything except its name was Sam and the dog went behind the bar and she started hugging all over it and petting it and never washed her hands. It was like she purposefully wants to be shut down. My daughter ordered a coffee which she said was just milk and vanilla flavoring. Some other people came in after us and ordered espresso drinks and she had to empty the coffee grounds from the previous coffee drinks before she made theirs. Didn't wash anything off or wipe anything down. Who knows how long those coffee grounds had been sitting in there. Not going back!"
"Very cool concept marrying a wine and coffee bar! Really nice ambiance with the interior having painted frescoes reminiscent of an Italian villa and scenes from charming Dunedin. There's even an outdoor al fresco area to enjoy your beverages. Cappuccino was tasty as was the blueberry pastry. Definitely unique!"
