"Cafe Moka Islamorada is one of those places you’d never expect from the road — and that’s part of the magic. Once you park and walk in, you’re instantly transported into this beautiful, bohemian little oasis with coffee, shops, disco balls hanging from the trees, and an effortlessly cool, relaxed vibe. The espresso was phenomenal — perfectly pulled and clearly made with care. The pastries were great, and the açai bowl was massive, easily enough for two or three people. Beyond the food and coffee, the atmosphere is what really makes this place special. There’s a super cute boutique with thoughtfully curated women’s clothing, a little rooster casually wandering around, and so many inviting spots to sit, hang out, and enjoy your morning. It’s an excellent place to grab coffee, browse, and linger for a while."

"Waste of time & 10$ 😭 Coffee sucked 🥲The girl didn’t tamp espresso at all.. Kinda tastes like sweet water. I tried to be nice when I asked about it but they got mad at me for saying anything. The ice melted instantly because they did it in a weird order (iced the milk) it’s whatever. No offense to them, BUT GO TO MIDWAY CAFE INSTEAD !!!!!! People are starving places but it was one of those times you splurge on a coffee and you get it and think “well this sucks”. Train your staff better, not even for me (i’ll never stop by here again), do it for everyone else 🙏🏻"

"LOVED this lil "grab & go" coffee shop!!! Very charming and relaxing, and surrounded by similarly charming local "Mom & Pop" shops in Village Square here. I stopped in as I was early to be Wedding DJ&MC for an Islamorada wedding. Ya gotta stop by! Well worth a visit, as it's a relaxing break. Zana was very helpful and kind. Wish they had more menu options like their slightly up the road Tavernier location, but it's more of a grab & go concept. Relaxing outdoor garden. Highly recommend!!"

"My friend’s big 18th birthday was ruined by cafe moka. We enter this cute local coffee shop with bright spirits for the grand birthday and looking for a good coffee to start the day off. We place our orders for $10 coffees (insane pricing) and patiently wait off to the side. The dark haired barista girl turns to us and asks for our chaperone. She belittles us, saying we are little imbeciles that don’t know how to tip. HALF OF US TIPPED, EVEN WHEN THE COFFEE WAS OVERPRICED. She rants, saying that we are disrespectful and we should know better. I’m sorry??? We look at each other in shock and she goes “YOU CAN SAY IT LOUDER WE HEAR YOU.” What the fudge you cannot treat customers this way. We were too scared to defend ourselves because she was making our food, and then as we walked out quietly she goes “You can say thank you to me!” Do not come here unless you want to be publicly shamed. The birthday girl broke down sobbing once we got in the car."

"I have never been treated with such disrespect by a fellow young woman. On a birthday trip to Islamorada with a group of 18-year olds - all paying for the trip by ourselves - we decided to check out this cute coffee shop. The atmosphere was beautiful and the nearby shop workers were so friendly. However, the environment inside of the cafe was worse than the coffee they served us. Along with the drinks being very milky, the workers continued to berate us about coming in a large group and for only half of the group tipping. The blond lady working was polite, but the dark haired woman was genuinely awful. I cannot believe she is still working here, especially after reading these reviews. The dark haired lady asked us if we were “on a school trip” and asked to speak to a parent. After every latte was served, they would loudly yell “Your welcome” before we had the opportunity to thank them. They told us we were disrespectful and without manners for not tipping even though every item was overpriced and we are young adults managing our finances. She vocalized multiple times her anger at our lack of tips and criticized our group size. You would think they would be grateful to have an influx of customers in their local coffee shop. Any time we would speak up amongst ourselves about our confusion about why they were so upset with us, the dark haired lady would say “You can speak up. I can hear you”. A tip at a coffee shop without service is already a gift, and it cannot be expected with such awful quality. The coffee was so milky and we were afraid to speak up. Additionally, they purposefully delayed an order in our group because they were upset with us. And we were the only people in the shop. I have never interacted with such a miserable human in my life. Unless you want to be berated and enjoy flavourless drinks, I would stay as far away from this place as possible. The only thing earning one star for this review is this the beautiful environment and wonderful shop worker selling crystals. This place ruined our trip."
