"If you’re looking for a mellow spot to unwind (without alcohol), Jax Beach Kava Bar delivers. The ambience is laidback yet intimate—dark lighting, star-like accents, and friendly “kavatenders” ready to guide you.  The menu offers a variety of kava—some strong, some gentler—and the sweet cream variety I tried was pleasantly smooth and approachable.  The trick is in the prep: served cold, with a subtle froth, and timed right to preserve the effects.  What really sets it apart is the people. I made casual conversation easily with staff and fellow patrons. The bar seems built to foster connection—events, trivia, themed nights all add to a social but relaxed vibe.  If you’re new to kava, don’t be intimidated—ask questions, go slow, and enjoy the ride. This place feels like it’s for explorers of calm."

"I’m from Michigan traveling the mountains and beaches and decided to stop here. I enjoyed complementary free chili and great hospitality . I like the ambient techno music and I drank kava kava. "I wanted to do SOMETHING that was an alternative to the bars or clubs that was open after work (10pm). I found this place and am glad that i did. The people were very receptive to conversation and friendly. There are lots of board games available to play. The atmosphere is intimate, with low lighting and music playing. The kavatender, Charlie, is super friendly, respectful and willing to share his knowledge of kava and tea. I would recommend this place to just come and chill."

"Staying in Jax for a couple of days, on a work trip from Orlando. Great spot. It’s open till 2am and is on nice shopping plaza with a large smoke shop next door, and a Talkin Tacos in the plaza as well. Lots of comfy, couches and chairs, to hangout in. I’m here on a Sunday night and they have SNF on. The bar area has a multiplayer game screen above it, with people playing Mario kart. I enjoyed the kava I had, as well as the extract shot. Damon, the friendly owner, also mentioned that he would put the strength of his Kratom tea against any spot in Orlando, Jax, otherwise. Overall, this place was exactly what I was looking for. Everyone was super welcoming and chatty, I got to have some great convos only being here an hour."
