from Google"Very cool game shop. For less than $4 a person, you can play any of their games. Many small tables and some large ones for standing up gaming. We played Splendor and Codename."
"The staff here are always so welcoming and sweet! Place is always clean and well kept, and prices for renting rooms are very fair. There's a lot of table game and tcg variety as well. Definitely a hangout spot I'd frequent more if I lived closer :)"
"Normally I don't do reviews, but I will say that Java Game Haus has been an absolute awesome blast of a place to go hang out at. My first impression had me think of the place as a miniature board game theme park. It's not just a shop where sweaty peeps can play TCG, it's a place that actually caters to all the tabletop gamers for all ages and backgrounds. There is a real local community at Java Game Haus that you don't see too much of in this digital age and struggling economy. The food and drink are fantastic and affordable too. I think it's the perfect place to trap and introduce your normie friends to board games while you guys eat. Whatever business formula Java Game Haus is using, all I can say is that it's working. Great job, guys!"
"I went here when I was visiting Jacksonville with my partner and genuinely had a great experience. I would highly recommend. When I'm back down in Jacksonville, I'll definitely be making another stop by! It's truly an amazing shop and I love that board game cafes are a fairly popular thing down here! I'm from Michigan and had never been to one before since it's not common up here where I'm at, let alone of this high tier, big space and great atmosphere. Java Game Haus Cafe has very kind, friendly and welcoming staff both in the shop and in the cafe area as well, and I truly had a great experience. At only $3 to play in the game room, it's a steal. They have a great selection and there were a lot of games that I've been wanting to play for a while that they have in their library. We also got food from their cafe which was two delicious flatbreads and two appetizers plus some drinks. I appreciate they sell a variety of alcohol as well and all in all, this place is a total gem that I'm super glad exists. Wish I lived closer!"
"Decent place to hang out if you have friends to go with (no one ever uses the LFG sign, so don't bother hoping to join strangers since they're also going there with their friend group). Not worth buying from though. They charge $50 for Azul, a game with an MSRP of $30. Laughable. The library is good, but the copies are all worn and falling apart. At least staple your rulebooks back together. The standing wargaming room also gets hot and stuffy, they need a fan back there or something."
