What People Are Saying

from Google & Yelp

"Very delicious food! The sandwiches are juicy and not dry at all, unlike many others. The meat literally melts in your mouth. We also tried the chicken sandwich — absolutely amazing! The peach smoothie was also very tasty. And my favorite is the cranberry dessert. This is now my favorite place!🤤👍🏽 I also want to add that the staff is very polite and friendly. I’m surprised this place has a rating lower than 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

"This was my second time visiting this place, and sadly, it’s the second time I’ve been disappointed. I decided to give it another chance because the location is great and the place itself looks nice, but the service is just terrible. The staff acts like they’re doing you a favor by serving you, very poor attitude and zero hospitality. We ordered something simple (eggs and a burger), and they told us it would take 30 minutes. We said okay, but it took even longer than that. When the food finally arrived, it looked and tasted like it was made without care rushed, cold energy, no love at all. The presentation didn’t match the high prices, and the overall experience felt disrespectful to customers. I also ordered a chai latte, and it was awful, the flavor was overly artificial. We left really disappointed. It’s sad to see such a nice-looking place with so much potential offering such a poor experience. It’s on me for giving it a second chance after a bad first visit, but unfortunately, nothing changed."

"Had a great breakfast here on a weekday morning. No wait around 9 am. At first I was a little worried looking at some of the reviews, but honestly I have no complaints. Contrary to what I saw in another person's review, you can order drinks to go, not just table service, though I did have a sit down breakfast when I visited. Menu is extensive and is basically a full service restaurant. I loved both the honey lavender latte and my ranchero breakfast burrito. Service was also not a problem at all; everything came out at a reasonable time."

"I adore this study spot. The coffee is good, the staff is nice and the view of the water is soothing. The brunch menu is similar to First Watch in price. The Chorizo burrito was tasty and filling. I had trouble finishing it (a rare occasion). The seasonal mugs (when they have them) are overpriced, but very cute. They’re constantly updating their menu and creating new flavors, which is fantastic. Two asks: 1. Please consider not charging more for dairy alternatives. That is the way of the future. 2. Please bring back a rewards system (digital). I understand that people cheated, so it had to be taken away. It’s unfortunate. I was close to my first free coffee with the punch cards when it was. It’s been…has it been almost a year? Maybe not that long. I haven’t heard any developments. I would love to be rewarded for coming and bringing others semi-regularly, like other places."

"Visited a month ago and I’ve been coming here for years, and whatever new system they’ve implemented has completely ruined the experience. The moment you walk in, there’s now a “please see host to be seated” sign—which is strange for a coffee shop and has never been there before. My friend arrived before me and was waiting in line when I got there. When she finally reached the register, she asked about ordering coffee flights and possibly food. The employee told her that flights can’t be done to-go and that we had to be seated for a waitress to take our order. She also warned that food was running about a 45-minute wait. I had already grabbed a table since seating used to be first-come, first-served. We were seated and given menus, but after about 10 minutes with no service, the same employee from the register came over and said she was told she could take our drink orders—but not food orders. I asked for clarification, since she originally told us we needed to be seated to order food. She repeated herself with attitude, but honestly, I couldn’t even blame her. She seemed frustrated too. The whole system is just broken. At that point, she should have just taken our flight orders at the register instead of sending us to sit and wait for nothing. We ordered and paid for the flights. When they arrived, my friend’s flight had dairy milk even though she specifically requested almond milk due to an allergy. They fixed it quickly, but it was another unnecessary issue. We finished our flights, and still—not once did a server come by to take any food order, we were there for about 2 hours. And we weren’t the only ones. I watched multiple tables sit there confused, waiting for service that never came. This place has become extremely disorganized, inconsiderate, and clearly lacks any structure for how things are supposed to run. Why require people to be seated in order to order food, but then fail to provide any actual table service? It makes no sense. The new system has absolutely tanked the customer experience."

"I came to New City as everyone has been raving about the seasonal coffee flights and found a cute hometown coffee shop with the flights! The space is..."
