"This is my 2nd time here and it’s for a reason. This bar is so great, the ambiance, always spotless, good music, not overwhelming, staff is super welcoming. Drinks are affordable and delicious. It does get busy at times, but the wait isn’t forever. If you haven’t gotten a chance to check it out please go ASAP"

"I love the Grove and always get excited when new businesses open in the neighborhood. I was especially intrigued by the speakeasy concept and had high hopes for this place. My husband and I waited outside for about 10 minutes while we saw people exiting, assuming we were next. Shortly after, a large, well-dressed group arrived and was immediately let in, which felt inconsistent and confusing. When I spoke with the manager, I was told we could order drinks outside while waiting—something that could have been communicated upfront. A simple greeting or explanation would have gone a long way. Transparency matters, and leaving guests waiting without context doesn’t create a welcoming experience. I did mention we were on a date for my birthday and his dry response was just that, dry.. As a Grove resident, I hope this ambiance improves. Clear communication and hospitality should match the charm and quality the neighborhood is known for. No need to make some people feel more welcomed than others (even if they get a table and buy a bottle). Please do better. Maybe I’ll try this place another time without expecting too much after all I get the fact that it’s a new business and they have time to learn to make it successful, but I left having a bad taste in my mouth about the vibes there."

"Mae's is by far my favorite spot to go out in the grove! It's a hidden gem with the coolest atmosphere and best drinks. I also love that I can order from Chuggies if I'm hungry- it's the best of both worlds. Obsessed with this place, I go every weekend!"
