The store is always spotless, the produce is consistently fresh and high quality, and I love their unique local offerings — especially the beautifully designed canvas shopping bags featuring Miami artists like Brian Butler and Magnus Sodamin’s “Wildlife Corridor” bag. It’s the kind of thoughtful, community-minded touch you don’t see in most grocery stores. The staff is exceptional across the board. From the produce team to the cashiers, front office, and every department in between, everyone is friendly, helpful, and genuinely cares about the customer experience. Recently, a pantry staple I’ve purchased for years suddenly disappeared from the shelves. I reached out to Milam’s and was pleasantly surprised when Max Milam himself responded. Even though the product was no longer being carried by their usual distributor, he went out of his way to get it restocked for me. That level of personal attention is incredibly rare these days and speaks volumes about the values the Milam family has upheld for generations. I’m certain his great-grandfather, John Milam Sr., would be proud to see those same family principles — service, quality, and genuine care for the community — still alive and well today. "Shopping at the Coconut Grove Milam’s never fails to be a treat. The floral displays that greet one at the entrance are glorious and the produce department, as well, is a feast for the eyes. I always appreciate the politeness of the staff members and their eagerness to be helpful. Today, I’d like to give praise to Yeida for her help in re-stocking an imported fruit juice that my husband and I both love. It has been out-of-stock for quite a while, but Yeida has diligently persevered in getting it back in stock and even called me at home with updates on her efforts.
