What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"To my great disappointment, I was very dissatisfied with the service. I was there on Saturday, and only 2-3 tables were occupied. Only one person was serving the guests. She was both the cashier and the waitress. Initially, we wanted to buy one coffee to go, but the interior of the place was very nice, so we decided to stay. At the counter, we ordered a latte, green tea, and a cinnamon bun. I asked to divide the cinnamon bun into two parts, as I wasn't hungry and we planned to share it. We waited for our order for about 15 minutes. Although preparing coffee, tea, and serving an already prepared cinnamon bun should probably take significantly less time, given the low occupancy of the cafe. The waitress was literally "floundering." As a result, we were served black tea in a cardboard cup at the temperature of molten lava. Although I ordered green tea🤣. I also mentioned that we would be staying in the cafe. So, serving tea in a cardboard cup is considered normal there. The cinnamon bun was brought on one plate, uncut and without cutlery. The cinnamon bun was terribly dry. You could even say it was stale and completely tasteless. It wasn't sweet, and it lacked the characteristic cinnamon smell. Most likely, it had been sitting on the display for more than one or several days. The service was slow. The cinnamon bun was dry and tasteless. The tea served was black, not green. Drinks for guests inside the cafe are served in cardboard cups, like in a fast-food joint. The price for coffee, tea, and a cinnamon bun was around $18, which is generally acceptable for a good cafe in Miami with good service. In the end, I was served not brewed tea, but the cheapest tea from a tea bag. The tea bag with the company's label and logo was floating in the cup; that is, they completely threw the tea bag into the cup with the string and label still attached. The pastries and Cinnabon were served on a plate without cutlery. After we asked for cutlery, they only brought one fork, after which we had to ask the waiter again to bring a full set of cutlery and a proper plate. The Cinnabon was placed on the plate with the same hands that had just handled money. I understand that you can't expect high-quality service from an American establishment, but this is perhaps the worst experience I've ever had in US. This isn't even an average cafe, but a very bad dive. I strongly advise against visiting this cafe. Don't be fooled by the interior. The service will be worse than in a fast-food joint."
"Great little cafe tucked in this shopping mall. I had a great breakfast. The avocado toast was delicious (probably one of the best I’ve had) and quite filling."
"The ambiance of the café was calm and a nice place to get some work done on a laptop. I gave it 2 stars since it was my first time visiting. Unfortunately, I wasn’t greeted when I arrived. There’s a small kiosk where you place your order, which says they will serve you at your table. I selected the dine-in option and left a tip, but I was still asked to come pick up my order myself. The customer service was lacking. I ordered their popular café breakfast bowl, which was good overall except for the bacon. I also ordered a medium matcha, but it was closer to a small size. Overall, my first experience wasn’t very impressive."
"a great place for a cozy company. beautiful, delicious and calm. but your staff should be trained to provide higher quality service. we were offered plastic disposable forks and glasses, saying that there were no clean dishes!!! this is not funny."
"Cute and quiet inside. Places to plug in laptops and various types of seating. Chai latte was essentially just warm milk, no flavor. Strawberry croissant was nice."
"Amazing space, great energy. I enjoyed coming to Cafe Del Alma to work and the food options, and pastries are just wow!! Great attentive service!"
