from Google & Yelp"We found Castro’s Cafe in Google and it didn’t disappoint. The cafe is an airy atmosphere with a friendly, welcoming decor, the staff are friendly. Most days you’re greeted by Jaime, he’s an asset to the business and makes you feel like you’re visiting family, he’s the main baker. He specializes in Puerto Rican pastries, from traditional flans, bread pudding including not so traditional treats like cannolis to pumpkin spice turnovers. Castro’s serves breakfast and lunch, if cafe con leche is on your mind you’ll certain love the rich flavored coffee. Authentic Tampa Cuban sandwich’s are a great lunch option. Castro’s opens daily at 7:00am closes at 2:00pm and closed on Sunday’s"
"We stumbled upon this cuteness! My husband and I had a Cuban sandwich, an omelette and Puerto Rican coffee. Lovedddd it. We were greeted with such warmth! Definitely coming back!"
"If you’re looking for a cozy, family-friendly spot with incredible food and even better service, this sandwich shop is an absolute gem! Every visit feels warm and welcoming, like stepping into a place that truly cares about its customers. Their sandwiches are fresh, flavorful, and made with high-quality ingredients—but the real star of the show is their seasonal coffee flavors. WOW! Each one is crafted to perfection, rich, aromatic, and unlike anything you’ll find at a chain coffee shop."
"Wonderful cafe tucked away in Polk City! Convient to I-4 exit 48 if you are traveling through to the Mouse House or back to the Big Guava. Excellent coffee and pastry. Good breakfast sandwichs and authentic Cuban sandwichs made with bread from La Segunda bakery. Add this place to your must visit list!"
"Definitely the friendliest and warmest establishment I visited during my stay in Florida. I stopped by on a road trip from Orlando to Sarasota for a Cuban sandwich and some pastries. The sandwich was honestly was the best one I've ever had. The workers and owners were so nice to me, especially Jaimes who pointed out that they were actually Puerto Rican. They also recommended for me to try Melao Bakery before I left back home to California, which ended up with me eating one of the best meals ever. Castro's Café was one of the highlights of my trip and I hope I'll be able to stop by at least one more time in my lifetime."
"We stopped in here for a quick cup of coffee, for the road, and we're glad we did. Not only was the coffee fresh and good (albeit very hot), we got tempted..."
