from Google & Yelp"Absolutely loved Gilbert’s Coffee Bar! The atmosphere is coastal and relaxing, with stunning views right on the water—perfect for a slow morning or an afternoon pick-me-up. The coffee was smooth and flavorful (I had cold brew, and it was top notch), and the pastries were fresh and delicious. Staff was super friendly and made the experience even better. It’s the kind of place you want to come back to every day. A hidden gem in Salerno—highly recommend!"
"An absolute hidden gem of a cafe in the Port Salerno area. The service is outstanding - the owners and staff are truly creating community with their customers, as demonstrated in monthly book clubs, remembering orders & names of regulars, and welcoming each person with warmth, kindness, and a great cup of coffee. They have an array of beverage options including alcohol in the evening. Food options include a variety of pastries (think muffins, gluten free brownies, cookies etc.), as well as seasonal toasts. In the afternoon they offer charcuterie boards that pair nicely with their wine options. Their atmosphere is intentionally, and thoughtfully curated - with an enclosed patio to enjoy the weather without the bugs, as well as a cozy interior with lots of outlets available for use. The back of the shop faces a small and beautiful marina with a few chairs available to relax in, and enjoy a drink & the beautiful Florida views. This is a great stop for those visiting the Stuart/Port Salerno area, and I highly recommend it. The people and staff here truly care, and do their best to make your day better."
"Gilbert’s Coffee Bar is a story of redemption. We opened with the blueberry muffin, which was — and I don’t say this lightly — frozen solid. Like, cryogenically preserved. We had it reheated and received what can only be described as a moisture-deprived, still-semi-frozen compromise. A rough start. Confidence shaken. Eyebrows raised. And then… the turnaround. The cortado arrived with ornate presentation and clear intention. The foam pour could’ve been sharper — I wanted a bit more precision, a little more drama — but the drink itself was smooth, well-balanced, and quietly excellent. Execution over flash, and I respect that. The drip coffee deserves its own moment: bold, rich, and extremely palatable. Almost tea-like in the best way — black tea with currants vibes. Clean, confident, and dangerously easy to keep sipping. Then came the nut butter toast, which was an absolute smash hit. Perfect dusting of cinnamon, restrained honey usage (thank you for knowing when to stop), and just overall dialed. This dish knew exactly who it was. From there, the hits kept coming: • Coffee lattes: great • Matcha: great • Everything-but-the-bagel toast with lox: legitimately great That last one, in particular, transformed a Florida man — once fueled exclusively by boiled hot dogs and mac & cheese — into someone with a refined palate and opinions. A cultural milestone. The smashed avocado toast on everything-bagel toast followed, topped with crumbled feta and tomatoes, and yes: it banged. Savory, balanced, no unnecessary flair. Ambience check: line out the door but moving fast, which always earns respect. Chair availability was a bit lackluster, though the seating itself was comfortable once secured. For a newer spot, the subtle bohemian beach vibe works — relaxed, unfussy, and not trying too hard. Final take: A frozen muffin nearly derailed the morning, but everything after it showed real competence and care. For a new place, that matters. 7.5/10 — with clear upside if the pastries get their act together."
