from Google"Gilbert’s Coffee Bar is a hidden gem in Stuart! I stop by every time I’m in town. It’s right on the water with a beautiful view and the coziest atmosphere. The staff is always friendly, the vibe is relaxed, and the food is amazing. I love grabbing a coffee or juice and working from one of the little tables. Their avocado toast is a favorite of mine, but the muffins and sweet toasts are incredible too (my boyfriend always goes for those!). On weekends, it’s the perfect spot to meet a friend or a special little coffee date. Grab a coffee drink, sip a glass of Prosecco and unwind by the water. It’s a small place, and parking can be a bit tricky—but it’s 100% worth it. Highly recommend!"
"Always a vibe! Parking can be a challenge so be prepared lol or be ok doing valet at Sailors. It’s a really beautiful spot with tons of seating all around outside. Cute small spots inside too if you want out of the heat. Love the avocado toast and matcha! Great smoothies too."
"We chose this place based on Google Maps reviews too. It’s a small café with a view of the pier and plenty of cozy little tables. We ordered coffee and muffins — a pistachio latte without sugar and muffins with a mix of nuts and orange. The café itself is very cozy, and we picked a table outside. The coffee was delicious, and the muffins were a bit too sweet for my taste — I prefer a more moderate sweetness, so I’ll let others be the judge of those. Big thanks to the staff for the quick service and their attention to customers!"
"Gilbert’s is such a local favorite, and honestly, the coffee and food are so good; actually delicious. The environment at the marina is amazing. However, the hygiene practices are something I just can’t get past. The staff stirs iced coffees and other drinks using the same straw they hand you to drink with, which means their ungloved hands are all over the straw, touching the exact spot that goes in your mouth. From a sanitation standpoint, that’s a major concern. The top of the straw is not wrapped or protected, and they don’t have additional straws available for customers to grab a clean, wrapped one instead. I understand the environmental hesitation around plastic straws, especially at a marina, but food-service sanitation practices shouldn’t be compromised. Maybe management can enforce having drinks stirred with a spoon or another clean utensil and offer customers wrapped paper straws.?... This could be simple fix that would greatly improve hygiene and help customers feel more confident about not drinking from a straw that someone else’s hands have been all over. If you’re getting a hot drink, Gilbert's is 5+ stars! For any drink that requires stirring and drinking with a straw, be prepared to have someone else's hands all over your unwrapped straw. I know this worked for all of us prior to 2020, but if post COVID 2020 left you traumatized, bring your own straw. :)"
"Loved the quaint feel of the coffee shop — from the nautical themed wallpaper to the boathouse feel, each aspect was carefully planed out. There were gold utensils which looked so pretty as we enjoyed our delicious chocolate dome and a blueberry lavender muffin with our lattes. The bamboo straws were a hit with the younger members of our party. The only drawback was the café being out of vanilla syrup. Even so, the baristas were quick to give options and happy to help. Very friendly place to sip a hot drink and watch the boats come and go."
