from Google & Yelp"The Breakfast House was absolutely amazing. The food was incredibly flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. Every dish was on point, and the staff was extremely friendly, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. Great service, great atmosphere, and even better breakfast. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a solid breakfast spot with quality food and excellent customer service."
"such a cute spot w great food, got fish & grits, steak bagel & strawberry donuts, all delicious & friendly staff. can’t wait to go back. 😋"
"I was there for the grand opening. You know the food good when you can eat half the plate (you won’t finish it in on sitting) and reheat the other half the next day and it still amazing. Parking is limited so get there early"
"The best grits I’ve had in Tampa! Food so flavorful and fresh and extremely friendly staff. Also, very large portions for such a great price!"
"Here’s my honest overall first impression thoughts. Keeping in mind, opening a restaurant has many challenges and growing pains so I try to always give grace especially when it’s a Black owned busenaa. . I’ve been to their other restaurant “Outside kitchen “ and it was good for the most part. 👍🏽 At this new spot I ordered the salmon croquettes and grits with a side of grits. The order was made pretty quickly ✅, The music however was blasting and when I say blasting you could hear it outside with the door closed 🤪 I could barely hear the lady taking my order 😐 That was really a bit much to me. Eventhough what they were playing was good music it was waaay too loud 🚩. I’m originally from Detroit and been living in Tampa close to ten years… I’m not sure if this is an up north versus south thing but why grits are yellow down south versus white from what I’m used to is super weird. I haven’t had creamy grits since I lived here??? 🤔There was no exception here either t🤷🏻♀️. Although they were seasoned good, they just weren’t creamy like I like. The croquettes were well seasoned too but a little too long in the fryer 🫣. They didn’t however have any bones in the meat like another reviewer said so that was relieving 😅 . The total for the order came to about $20 .. I felt that was an average price for a place like this but then I saw a man walk out empty handed mumbling $12 for biscuits and gravy’s was over priced 🤦🏻♀️🙅🏻♀️. I can only base my experience on the food I ate but as far as the surroundings… by it being on a busy intersection corner I would recommend putting at the very least a nice short fence around the picnic tables cause there’s no place to sit inside? And it would be even better if there was a cement slab or something? Plants etc? You’re in a good spot with people driving by why not make it look pretty? There’s been a dry season but baby once it starts raining it’s gonna be a muddy mess. 😬 The people working there were feelingly and I saw a man picking up trash around the outside which is going to be a problem with the area. But at least someone was conscious of the outside. I want to see them succeed … with old Seminole heights being the “gentrified hood” 🤣(that’s what I like to call it ) if you’re trying to be more diverse with your customers who are going to have a little more disposable income you’re prolly gonna want to make it look a little less corner hoodish and more inviting. Otherwise you’re gonna have guys like “unc” talkin bout it’s too expensive 🫣 That’s just my personal recommendation as a local business owner for over 10 years here. Wishing yall the best 👍🏽"
