"HotWax Coffee Shop & Tap House is an absolute gem in the area! The atmosphere is awesome—a perfect mix of cozy coffeehouse vibes and modern tap house energy. It’s the kind of spot where you can settle in with a laptop, catch up with friends, or just relax and enjoy the laid-back, welcoming feel. The coffee here is excellent, but the café con leche is next-level. Smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced, it’s easily one of the best I’ve had anywhere. Their baristas clearly know their craft, and you can taste the care they put into every cup. On top of that, they offer a great selection of beers on tap if you’re in the mood for something different, making it a perfect all-day hangout. The combination of incredible drinks, friendly staff, and an inviting atmosphere makes HotWax a must-visit whether you’re a coffee lover, a craft beer fan, or just looking for a cool spot to unwind. I can’t wait to come back for another café con leche and to soak in more of this amazing space!"

"Hot wax is my go toooooooo! I love this place so very much. They have a great smoke shop, and a great Kava bar atmosphere. This is the strongest Kava and Kratom that I have ever had, I wouldn’t have it anywhere else. It’s solid, the flavors are vast and the people are a lot of fun :)"

"Had a great visit, ordered the Café con Leche iced, and also tried a hot latte. Both were flavorful drinks and the service was great. The staff was friendly and offered wonderful suggestions. Atmosphere is pretty laid back, encourages both a laid back and social environment."

"The owner and some of the staff either seem to not like me for some reason, or they just have off-putting social skills, and there's a serious lack of male representation in the bathroom's abstract art, but solid place. Good prices, frequent events, gay friendly, etc. Nate's sweet with incredible golden retriever energy. Clean space with good AC and wifi. Edit: Lowered the rating based on the response. No playfulness, no appreciation, no brevity, just this condescending attitude from Curtis like I don't know who he is. Either he's a managing partner, and the owner has no interaction with the business, or... it's just this really condescending brother (in my same alphabet family) that, again, has no social skills."

"It has been a while. One double shell of the mind kava and it relaxes you. The kava they have is potent. The effects i felt could be a product of me going back in to try kava after a long time. Nonetheless it was high quality. Must visit when in ybor if you want to chill without alcohol being involved."
