from Google"A gem right in our own backyard! This shop is incredibly charming, and I always find the perfect gifts—from unique bourbon glasses for my boss to bath bombs for my daughter and beautiful soaps for our powder bath. The owners’ taste is truly exquisite. It reminds me of the delightful boutiques we discover on our travels. It has become my go-to spot for both gift giving and a little personal indulgence."
"You have not lived if you haven’t tried Joanne’s homemade pastries. (Owner). I can personally vouch for chocolate cake and new blueberry muffins."
"I love this place! It’s always fun to stop in and see what’s new. The unique kitchen items are great, and the wine selection is solid. I do wish parking were easier, but I’ve learned to just use the City Hall lot in the evenings."
"Review of Vintage Vault – Winter Park (Park Avenue) 1 Star (only because zero isn’t an option) My wife and I have spent decades traveling the world learning about good wine—from living just outside Napa Valley for years to exploring regions like Ribera del Duero in Spain this past summer. We love great wine, and we go out of our way to support small local businesses. Which makes what happened at Vintage Vault genuinely shocking. My wife purchased what was labeled as a special 2013 Ribera del Duero Cabernet blend. It’s a bottle that normally retails for around $25, but Vintage Vault charged $50. Fine—we have no issue paying a premium for something unique. Two days later, we opened it. The cork was brittle, crumbling, and half of it fell into the bottle, despite using a professional, gentle wine opener. We still gave the wine a chance. After letting it sit, it was unmistakably corked—sour finish, completely off, the kind of spoilage that happens when wine is stored improperly (which is a known risk in Florida). We drove back to the store expecting a simple exchange. In 30+ years of wine enjoyment across multiple countries, every reputable shop we’ve ever visited has happily replaced a corked bottle—and we usually end up buying more out of goodwill. Instead, we walked into one of the strangest and most uncomfortable retail encounters I’ve ever had. When I politely said “excuse me,” both employees jumped like they weren’t expecting customers. I explained the situation to the older gentleman at the counter and showed him photos of the cork and the wine. Instead of listening or even acknowledging the issue, he responded with a disgusted look and: “I don’t understand… what did you do to it?” He repeated that he “didn’t understand,” shook his head, and acted as if we were trying to pull a scam. He showed zero understanding of what a cooked or corked wine even is, let alone how to handle it. Then it got worse. He pointed to the security camera and said, “You’re being filmed and recorded.” I told him that was good—I actually want the owner to see how poorly he’s treating customers. His response? “I am the owner.” If that’s true, it explains a lot. If it’s not—and corporate filings list Joanne McMahon as the owner—then this employee is not only mistreating customers but also misrepresenting himself in a way that can seriously damage the business. Either way, the message we received was loud and clear: • No respect for customers • No understanding of basic wine faults • No willingness to replace a spoiled bottle • No customer service whatsoever • Hostility toward anyone who expects minimum professionalism • And prices that are dramatically above market while offering dramatically below-market service My family ran small retail businesses for years. We love supporting local shops. But what happened at Vintage Vault wasn’t just bad service—it was hostility, accusation, and gouging, all wrapped in one. If the man we dealt with is truly the owner, then I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone. If he isn’t, Ms. McMahon deserves to know how badly her customers are being treated. Either way, my strongest advice is simple: ❌ Stay away from this store. There are plenty of wine shops where the staff actually understands wine and treats customers with respect. Vintage Vault is not one of them."
"Fantastic place. Excellent food and a outstanding wine selection. I would highly recommend stopping in for bite to eat or a drink."
