"We happened to be driving by and noticed the sign for this coffee shop, so we decided to stop in—and what a fantastic decision that was. The interior immediately stood out with a luxurious, welcoming atmosphere, and the baristas were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. I ordered an iced pistachio latte, and calling it amazing would honestly be an understatement. It was one of the best coffees I’ve ever had—rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. That first sip genuinely felt transcendent. The rest of the group tried a lotus latte, a shibam latte, and an iced matcha, and every single drink was outstanding. Each one was thoughtfully crafted and full of flavor. This spot clearly takes pride in both quality and customer experience. We’ll absolutely be back soon."

"Bright and clean environment and the winter sunny weather makes the cafe more attractive and charming! The mixed spicy flavor makes the Yemen coffee unique and special. "Update – Jan 2026 I went back to Shibam on Friday (1/30) after about two months away, ready to dig into milk cake again, and I was really disappointed by the changes. Discount Fridays are gone, and the milk cake is now about $8 for a smaller, flat portion that just doesn’t feel like the same treat. Diners know this: perception of value is king, even when the taste is good. To be clear, service is still first-class and the interior is as clean and gorgeous as ever. But the old thick square cuts plus Friday discounts made it easy to justify stacking up milk cakes and spending money here every week. At this new price and size, I’m just not excited to come in anymore. I’m only one customer and one dollar, but they’ve lost a regular. Around Aug/Sep of 2025 I found Shibam five weeks ago, just looking for something tasty. A random swing in. I got the Rose milk cake just to try something — my life was instantly transformed that day. Milk cake, especially from Shibam, is the most moist, delicate, and satisfyingly chewy cake. I hate traditional cake. I’ve always gotten Key Lime Pie for my birthday, but milk cake is phenomenal. I now go every Friday for the discount pastries. So good! My favorite is the Pistachio milk cake, but all of them are delicious. Service is stellar. I love the culture and representation of this establishment. It’s not cheap, but it’s absolutely worth it. A must-go for a great treat — and if you don’t like milk cake, we can’t be friends.
