What People Are Saying
from Google"If you’re looking for southern food in Atlanta, this is a great place to go. It’s a very very busy restaurant. It is a little bit loud and very lively. There’s a lot of artwork that’s very cool and the service was excellent. The food was good, but I’m not a huge fan of southern food… Having grown up in the south. But overall, it was a nice lunch with my family."
"We stopped by OK Café before a doctor’s appointment thinking we had time for a quick bite, but the visit ended up taking almost an hour from start to finish. Even though we had to rush at the end, the food definitely made it worth it. The Turkey Avocado Sprouts BLT and Roasted Chicken Salad Sandwich were fresh, flavorful, and really well made. We finished with a walnut cake that tasted like something straight from a home kitchen. Despite the crowd, the staff stayed calm, welcoming, and attentive. Fantastic food and genuinely good service—just make sure you’re not in a hurry."
"The first time I visited this café was 40 years ago… I returned a couple times since but it's been at least 20 years since the last time. I ordered the country fried steak with white gravy, homemade mashed potatoes and of course, fried green tomatoes! It was a ton of food enough to bring home and feed my wife for dinner with the leftovers. It's crazy how things have changed, I dropped $40 on lunch Including the tip. 40 years ago it would've fed the entire table. Food quality was excellent! Atmosphere and service top-notch! I would recommend this place to anyone who wants authentic food, comfort, food, southern comfort, food… And a great experience. It's probably why they've been here for many many decades.."
"Visited the ok cafe on Wednesday the 26/11/2025 - this was my first experience southern food and I was impressed! No lie. I ordered the crispy fried chicken with coleslaw and black eyed pees, the chicken was crispy absolute delight for the taste buds. My grandfather ole John got a turkey sandwich and my dad lil Jonny got the chilli con carne, they both very pleased by their choices. Uncle Dave got the burger. Overall I highly rate this establishment and it’s a southern food experience I won’t live to forget. 10/10"
"This restaurant is our preferred destination for Southern comfort food. Whenever we host guests visiting Atlanta for the first time, we invariably take them to OK Cafe. Although this restaurant may not be the best place for Southern cuisine, everything here is spectacularly special. Right at the moment we enter the restaurant, we're filled with cozy retro vibes. We love it the most. Typically, we prefer to sit at the kitchen counter to observe the chefs while they cook. Alternatively, we sit at a table with our guests, each of which features its own sitting booth, a semi-private area. We have sampled most of the dishes on their menu over the years. Everything is delicious. If you are a big eater, consider trying one of their signature blue plates. By the way, Southerners refer Coca-Cola as Coke. And if you want an iced tea mixed with lemonade, order an Arnold Palmer; they'll treat you like "the King". 😉😉"
