What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Tucked away in the back of a building, this speakeasy-style café is delightfully sneaky to find—and honestly, if a very cool girl in a tie (Hannah Berner–adjacent energy) hadn’t been standing outside to point me in the right direction, I never would have found it. One of those places. If you know, you know. Once inside, the vibe immediately felt like a true local hideaway. Young professionals typing away, Slack messages popping, quiet conversations humming in the background—productive but relaxed, cool without trying too hard. Exactly the kind of place you want to “park” for a bit. The service was friendly but not overly chatty—perfectly intuitive. We both understood the assignment: I needed coffee. I ordered an iced latte with almond milk, and it was absolute perfection—smooth, balanced, and clearly made with care. I also tried the pineapple coffee cake, which was moist with small chunks of pineapple and just the right amount of streusel on top. Sweet, but not heavy. A standout. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting Atlanta who wants great coffee, a low-key place to answer emails, and the feeling that—just for a moment—you’re a local. ☕✨"
"Gorgeous, cozy, memorable speakeasy with such strong coffee. Every detail in the venue was planned purposefully, making for an authentic and well-rounded experience. Seating is incredibly limited given the ever-long line out-the-door, but the bar seating we conveniently got was so comfortable because of the cushioned high stools. The Chai Latte is very strong and easily keeps you up the whole day. Truly a great drink. Overall, would recommend finding and visiting!"
"Gorgeous space with warm, friendly, welcoming baristas! Came to get some work done: on site parking, plenty of outlets, good music. I tried the Hojicha latte and LOVED it (described very accurately by the barista). Ended up packed by about 9/9:30- popular spot already! And heads up the door is kind of out the way, it’s on the East side of the building and says Bar Ana (pictured) Clearly a space that has been curated with intention and love. Will definitely be back."
"amazing vibe, amazing staff, and amazing menu! went here for their opening and was greeted with the loveliest service and had the best hojicha I’ve ever had here in atl! literally dream about it it was that good! 10/10 coffee shop, one of my top 5 spots in Atlanta"
"Recuerdos may not have its permanent space open quite yet, but what they’re already bringing to the Atlanta coffee scene is something special. Popping up at the El Ponce patio, they’re serving some of the most soulful, thoughtfully brewed drinks I’ve had -the Café de Olla is a must-try: spiced, rich, and full of warmth. Even as a pop-up, you can feel the heart behind the brand. The team is friendly, intentional, and clearly passionate about creating a space rooted in culture and memory. The concept highlights the stories of immigrant families and living in the south through cafe and tragos. Ivan highlights and features exceptional Mexican coffees, so be sure to ask him for a little more detail on what's in your cup. Can’t wait to see the full vision come to life — but for now, this patio experience is already a vibe. UPDATE: Effective Nov 20 2025 Recuerdos is now open in their permanent space that they share with Bar Ana underneath El Ponce! Same great coffee. Even cozier vibes. Lots of plugs for laptop work or phone charging. Beautiful ceramics!"
