"Wow is this place good. I came from out of town because my friend recommended me this place and I AM SO HAPPY that I came here. The food is incredible. I came for lunch and had their sandwich special, and their brisket melt. That melt is probably in my top 5 sandwiches of all time. Not only was the main dish good, but the sides and their hibiscus drink was delicious!! Atmosphere is so homey and everyone is so nice. Great spot. The pickles here are super good also, if that’s something you’re interested in."

"Vibes were great, they got us in really quick on an early Sunday morning and the Fancy Egg special (green shakshuka) was honestly life changing. I’m usually the slowest eater at every table and my bowl was empty and I had 10 minutes to day dream about the meal I’d just enjoyed while I waited for everyone else to finish. "Longtime customers turned into never coming back again. Didn’t want to write this review. We waited an hour to be seated for poor service and a bug in our food. When flagging this concern to our server, she confirmed it was a bug but said, “That just means it’s really fresh!”. Upon returning from the kitchen, she started laughing and said we were all wrong because ‘chef said it’s the end of a green onion’. You be the judge if that looks like the end of a green onion. Server offered to comp us for the trouble. Once the bill came around, there was nothing comped. At this point, we’re about 2 hours into this and we politely asked about the bill. She seemed annoyed, and honestly like she forgot the comp but did comp our coffees and not the entree. For $72, we spent 2.5 hours on food with a bug in it and being gaslit. Really disappointed with this visit."
