"We were in town for a game and this place was one of the top results for soul food. We were not disappointed. The staff was very nice and even though the other reviews said the service was slow, we did NOT experience this on our visit. It was even a Friday night and the place was packed. We did the appetizers of potatoes skins, came right out. I had the Southern Crown meal that had 3 Chicken wings, Mac and cheese, yams, collard greens and cornbread. Everything was out of this world good! The collards and Mac and cheese for sure stood out but everything was delicious. The Mrs had the chicken tender sandwich and she loved it too. Music was a smidge loud for chatting but it was good for vibing and my only complaint is they add an 18% service fee (tip), so I tipped that and a cash tip without realizing so just make note of that. I would 100% recommend them and will be back to try more when we come back to the area."

"I was craving fried chicken and Southern Queenz did NOT disappoint. From the service to the atmosphere, it was the perfect spot. These might have been the best collard greens I’ve ever had. The only reason why I gave them 4 stars is because the Mac and cheese was a bit underwhelming but everything else was 10/10!"

"I had the catfish & shrimp. it was amazing. everything was the perfect amount of crunch on the food.My friend got the strawberry cheesecake pancakes & they were so good. Along with another friend with the turkey legs! Our server was nice and attentive. We loved the drinks! Definitely would come back!"

"Overall experience was a 3/10. Our server was nice, but the service itself was horrible, waiting 40+ for cold and nasty food. The Mac & cheese tasted like it was made the a week prior and warmed up, it also tasted nothing like Mac & chases almost as if the dish was made in a stove with chemicals. The southern egg rolls came out as if they had been sitting for days and re warmed up. The shrimp and grits were super sweet which is weird. The greens were sugary as well. The chicken was okay, friend extremely hard. The people sitting next to us literally left their entire dish. A sign to the restaurant if people are not eating all of their food or a large majority them that is a problem. The atmosphere of the place gives whole on the wall with the food not living up to it. The space is small, dirty . The wall and ceilings are peeling. The walls are dirty by the bar and kitchen. It's like that slapped anything on the wall and opens up the place. The juice is pre made in a jar like you at a house party. This place is a not recommend at all. Let me not mention how I watched the bartender blow her nose and never wash her hands before serving drinks and food. Completely disgusted with this black. The light skip black guy who cleans tables was the best thing going for this place but the staff and overrall place was horrible. The runner from the kitchen didn't know who food was who's and barely spoke English. Then had the audacity to charge $10 for a free rundown parking lot"

"We were in town for a college football game and decided to visited this restaurant today around 5. Found free parking in the small lot in front of the shopping strip where the restaurant is located. There were valet signs but we didn’t need that. The restaurant is fairly small with about 9 table groupings and a bar. The hostess stand was not in use when we came in but we were greeted within 30 sec of entering. After being seated we waited about 10 min before the waitress came by to take drink orders. Evidently the restaurant doubles as a hookah/smoke lounge at night and if you’re sensitive to smoke just be aware the restaurant definitely smells like smoke. It’s not overbearing but on our visit, it was strong enough to be smelled upon entering the building. Food: we had two entrees chicken wings (they were big but just ok) with 3 sides and fried turkey chops (delicious). We HIGHLY recommend the deep fried turkey chops and the yams (marshmallow on top). The greens were decent but a tad sweet which I didn’t like but my hubby loved them. Same with the Mac n cheese - it had an odd sweetness. The yams and the fried turkey chops were DELICIOUS. EVERYTHING came out piping hot."

"Street parking available for this cozy eatery. We came by on a Saturday night and there was a live band and a full house. The menu had a lot of seafood..."
