What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Quite overdue, but I wanted to take a moment to recognize this spot that brought me good memories during my times in Atlanta. Even though the wait was super long, space was limited and crowded, and not all food was consistently good, I still enjoyed my experience there and consider this place a must-go for those that visit Atlanta, at least for the experience. In terms of food quality, the fried green tomatoes were pretty standard in taste but were soggy in texture, and dipping them in the cashew-jalapeño relish, tangy goat cheese, or the buttermilk ranch offered three different types of flavors. The chicken and waffles were also pretty standard in flavor, with the chicken not too dry. The non-spicy version was still a bit soggy in texture just like some of the other dishes. The shrimp and grits relied completely on the tomato sauce for flavor because the grits themselves were underseasoned, which was interesting because all the side grits we had, the grits tasted just fine. The gravy tasted pretty good, and I remembered at some point we ordered a gravy dish that had tomatoes under the gravy, but couldn't quite remember the name of the dish anymore. The sausage patties and the scrambled eggs in the Flying Biscuit Breakfast dish were also dry, unfortunately, but had good enough flavor. Depending on the times, wait times can be long, especially at this location, which seemed to be the most popular one. Another cool thing about this establishment was the rainbow crosswalks that was next to it. It allowed me to remember where I was right away when I came here for the second time."
"Delicious place to get breakfast. The grits were delicious even though I don't typically go for grits, and the biscuits definitely lived up to the hype, the were very light and buttery. We were seated at the bar and had amazing service. The restaurant is very tight and all the tables are very close together, giving it a very cozy and familiar vibe. It was a good value for the price."
"Usually I don’t eat breakfast, but for this place? Oh yeah I can make an exception! First time visitor and I gotta say y’all will definitely see me again when I come back up here! Kareem was amazing and made our experience so nice! The Flying Biscuit has so many vegetarian options, I got the Breakfast Biscuit Sandwich with plant based sausage and a cheesy fluffy egg. So good I was tempted to get another to go! Great spot💗💗💗"
"I’ve not been to Flying Biscuit in years (I was spoiled by frequenting the original location in the mid -90s). Today I was running a little ahead of store openings and stopped in the 10th and Piedmont restaurant. The food was quick and delicious and our server, Iliana, was the best part - friendly, attentive, and super hospitable. She got out day started off in the best way possible. This location “feels” like the Flying Biscuit I came to love years ago. I’ll be back!"
"First timers, was in town so we stopped in. We were seated quickly and we placed our drinks as soon as we sat down the waitress took our drinks, no pleasnetries, introduction, nothing. She was attentive, but lacked some personality. It wasn't busy at all when we arrived so I could understand, but it was not busy at all. The sausage and egg burrito was good. My wife ordered the chicken and waffles. Her waffles were mid, I mean mid. They were no better than the waffles an amateur could make at home. The chicken was the star of this dish. It was breaded well and fried, juicy on the inside. The maple syrup they offer is imitation syrup which was disappointing. The coffee was great, and no they don't charge for a re efull like others have said. Over all this place is average. Side note: if the place is called the flying biscuit, you would think their biscuits would be the best town but not many dishes that feature the biscuit. Alot has to do with their grits... For the quality and price they charge in give it only a 3 star."
"I stopped by Flying Biscuit on a Sunday morning for a quick breakfast before a Costco run. The staff were friendly, and the wait was just under 10..."
