Walking in, you feel like you have been transported back in time to a place where everyone knew each other, and you knew that you were going to be welcomed. Friendly service, warm smiles, and hot food since 1996. This is not a place that you are going to happen by while driving around. Cox Cafe is located deep in the industrial part of Macon. This is where the hard-working folks come to eat a hearty meal before heading back to work. We came today based on a recommendation from a friend. We are glad we did. The food was good, and the servings were plentiful. You won't leave here hungry. What a wonderful experience!"

"The staff is always friendly here. Their fried chicken, so good. And they are the only place in Macon that has fried corn bread. Not a hoe cake, fried corn bread. The cabbage could have used a bit more flavor. It could seem a bit sketchy at first but the food is worth it."
