What People Are Saying
from Google"Forsyth Park is one of my favorite spots downtown. It’s perfect for a quick workout between appointments and a great way to keep my body moving without missing a beat. The energy is always vibrant with people walking, running, laughing, living. It never feels dull. Being surrounded by shops is a huge plus, too. I can get a workout in and still enjoy everything the area has to offer. Classic, lively, and always a good stop."
"Lovely trees and spots. It is a very nice stroll and picnic area and has beautiful nature. There were statues and a big fountain. For the kids there was a park with swings slides and more things. Also on the field was a big stage probably for events and cncerts."
"Forsyth Park is easily one of the most beautiful and peaceful places in Savannah. The moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by giant oak trees draped with Spanish moss, wide open green spaces, and a calm atmosphere that feels like stepping into a postcard. The iconic Forsyth Fountain is absolutely stunning — perfect for photos and a must-see landmark. Whether you’re going for a walk, having a picnic, taking family pictures, or just relaxing, the park offers something for everyone. There are playgrounds for kids, open areas for sports, and plenty of shaded paths for a relaxing stroll. It’s clean, safe, and truly a highlight of Savannah. If you ever visit the city, Forsyth Park should definitely be at the top of your list!"
"We wanted to get the "feel" of Savannah, and this park did it! Lovely old neighborhood, huge park, lots to see, playground, beautiful live oaks, fountain. statues, an upscale restaurant."
"We were passing through Savannah and decided to make a stop at the famous Forsyth Park, and we were glad that we did. Besides the famous Victorian-era fountain(which itself is photograph worthy), the park also boasts of winding paths, lush lawns, colorful flower beds and towering oaks with Spanish moss. The park’s paths and shaded lawns are popular for exercise, picnics, and relaxation. We spent around an hour strolling inside the park. There’s a farmers’ market here on Saturdays, and we could see the appeal of the park to the city dwellers and tourists. Forsyth Park is more than a green space; it’s a living hub of Savannah’s cultural and historical identity. It plays host to daily life, celebrations, relaxation, and community gatherings, all set amidst beautiful Southern scenery. We were glad we visited and spent a couple of hours here. They have some confederate statues inside the park, which I don’t fully agree with, but oh well, the state of Georgia knows better. Parking nearby is street parking which was easy."
