What People Are Saying
from Google"We made a stop at the cotton exchange for an early lunch. We were seated promptly, and our server, Rachel, was excellent. We wanted to keep it somewhat light but try the food, so I had a bowl of clam chowder and a shrimp po' boy. My other half had a cup of crab soup and a salad. The salad was nice, and all the lettuce was crisp, not soggy. The soups were amazing and full of flavor and left us wanting more. By the time I made it to the po' boy, I was mostly full, so I managed to take a few bites. The shrimp was good, but I didn't get to eat much of it. The service was really good and Rachel checked on us frequently to make sure everything was all good. We hope to make it back to try more of their food when we are not in a rush or just walking store to store sampling."
"I had the snapper with asparagus and roasted potatoes. The waitress was really good and honest about the food she thought was best. Personally, the food was good, but not great. The Snapper was a little overcooked, but the Peruvian sauce they had saved the dish, imo. I could drink that stuff. The beer was great and local. This would be a great place for a burger and fries with great beer, but maybe not the more refined dishes. We still enjoyed ourselves and would go back."
"We enjoyed our time at this restaurant. Service was excellent. We had a 1 hour wait. There were some positives and negatives so far as food goes. The good: the crab chowder is very good and worth a stop. I'd go back for this item. The shrimp and grits was tasty, too. The cons: the sweet potato fries weren't served with any sauce, which seemed a little lack luster. The hushpuppies were not seasoned, so they were bland and also kind of dense inside (not my preference). The shrimp and grits were super rich and I couldn't finish them. It was just too much. This may seem like a lot of complaining, but just sharing my honest experience. I think overall this restaurant is worth a stop. I can see others having a totally different experience here."
"We sat at the bar. Loved the rustic setting. Ordered a Bloody Mary and a Blue moon. Had the spinach dip appetizer. I had a grilled buffalo chicken wrap with side of potato salad. Spouse had the famous Reuben with onion rings. Everything g was spot on tasty. No complaints. Great bar service, exceptional food and historic atmosphere."
"Great service and food in historic Savannah. After touring the river walk area I need some good comfort food. The Cotton Exchange did not disappoint. The fried green tomatoes were delicious, hot and crunchy. The Reuben sandwich was a huge portion of corned beef stacked between yummy bread slices, cheese and sauerkraut. Server was great and very friendly, checked on me often. Highly recommended! 🥳"
