What People Are Saying
from Google"Stopped into the cafe today like we often have through the years of island visits. As always, very yummy food and excellent service. Kara took great care of us from start to finish including offering refills and to go drinks along with a couple of non food related questions. Just a delight all around. It had been a bit since we’d been so new to us was an additional food and bar area (picture included) that apparently jams until 2am! Our grilled asparagus salad with chicken and Greek salad with blackened shrimp were fantastic. The blackened shrimp were very tasty and warm as a nice contrast to the Greek salad components and dressing."
"Stopped in for breakfast at Mallery Street Cafe while on St. Simons Island and it was a great choice. Friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and delicious breakfast—exactly what you want to start the day. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re on the island!"
"I would have posted a picture of the actual food but I got my food and ate it so quickly I didn't even have time to take a photo until it was all said and done. From the looks of my plate you can definitely see that it was so delicious and fantastic. I ordered a chopped steak burger and a cup of lobster bisque. The burger was cooked to perfection in the soup is to die for. One of the best meals I've eaten in a long time. All the staff members were so delightful, funny and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was exactly what we needed for our mini vacation. I will go back every time I'm in St Simons or anywhere near Mallery Street Cafe. I highly recommend anyone visiting do yourself a favor and check it out."
"The French toast sticks were delicious. Everybody else at my table was happy with their meals as well. Service was great too! I have a celiac friend (can only eat gluten free) who was joining us and Mallery Street Café accommodated him without confusion or any other issues."
"Hello, my name is Haley Marion and I am reviewing Mallery Street Cafe. It is located on the strip of the pier on St. Simons, and the address is 408 Mallery St, St Simons Island, GA 31522. My friend and I visited this last Sunday, October 12th for brunch. We ordered the 2 Egg McIntosh– toasted English muffins, topped with crabmeat and hollandaise, as well as the Northern three egg omelet, which consisted of steak, onion, peppers, and provolone, both with a side of potatoes. The McIntosh I was not a fan of, but the omelet was solid. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and seasoned- crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. For drinks we got a cappuccino and a virgin espresso martini, both were well made. If you have ever had Wakeup Cafe, they use their beans and it is one of my favorites. The cafe is easily accessed, but easy to look over. It is on the end of the strip, connected to other shops. It is only marked with a sign on the side of the building, so you wouldn’t notice it without reason. This is a very casual breakfast cafe, full of families and all types of groups and everyone is in their daily clothing. Being a Sunday morning, it was packed. We were squeezed in at a table that was directly behind the host booth. The staff were being pulled many different ways, so the waitering was sparse, but our waitress was very friendly and efficient. If you are with a group that has different tastes, the menu was extremely varied for breakfast, there was even angel hair pasta on the brunch menu. One thing is that the restaurant is a little pricey, as expected from the island. Our bill ended up being $54 before tip. The hours are 7 AM–2 PM for breakfast, and reopens 4 PM–2 AM for the bar, so it is open for most of the day! At night I definitely recommend going, the cafe turns into a bar that often has live music. The crowd at night is often older couples that are a joy to talk to!"
