"Coffee and books, two favorites together! The Sweet Read Coffee House is such a gem in downtown Woodstock. Housed in a historic home, it has the perfect rustic, cozy vibe that immediately makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. With inviting seating areas and books it’s the perfect spot to enjoy coffee. There is a large selection of self-serve coffee syrups. Their in-house pastries are amazing, and the lavender cake is hands-down one of my favorites."

"A sweet place indeed. This is the most charming coffee and used book store I’ve ever seen. There’s a pastry counter with some delicious looking sweet and savory treats and many varieties of coffee and tea beverages to choose from. The vibe is cozy book hoarder cottage, with room after room of well organized books to look through. They’re sorted by type (novels, biographies, nature, etc.) as well as alphabetically by author, so it’s easy to scan any category and super easy to find a specific author. A small parking lot means you don’t have to find street parking. I’ll go again!"

"This is a very unique bookstore! It makes you feel like your are reading in your own home with books all around you. There is a front yard which I bet will look magical in the fall. Maybe this is the fantasy home for people who love to read? I had a banana bread and a pumpkin spice latte (both were great) and bought a book to read there for the whole afternoon and felt like I was traveling back in time to enjoy a more simple but fulfilling life."

"How can you not like this delicious spot at the beginning of downtown Woodstock. For those people who love to lose themselves in all types of books this is the store for You. They have coffee and cake. It’s a great place to bring your kids and introduce him to something other than the iPad. They have a huge variety and there is something for everyone in this store. "Thought it was a great place! We ordered 2 hot chocolates and 1 coffee cake muffin. The muffin was fine, but the hot chocolates were the best because they actually let you flavor your own!! Fantastic! The book shop was very cozy and had lots of places to sit (albeit it wasn't very busy at the time we were there), but I thought it was a bit difficult navigating around. Looked like a lot of older books/classics, but what a fun place regardless!"
