"Super fun place! My son is almost 8 and a bit of a thrill seeker - we bought the 3 hour morning pass and it flew by for him, easily could have done the whole day! We did the cafe after and it was the perfect lunch spot - easy, good food and also would have been the perfect break if going back for more action after. Wearing the life vests is great because as adults, you can float around while watching your kids play or jump in an area you might not want to be on. The newly added large slide and balance area was an extra $10 per person - worth it for my son who jumped off and went down the slide a ton (but it IS super high and intimidating if your child is not a thrill seeker or if you as an adult don't want to do it - looking back I wouldn't have paid the extra $10 for me as I didn't go - my son had a blast jumping but even admitted "It hurt" hitting the water). One recommendation for WaiKai - man, I wish you rented Gopros! It would have been great to get some action shots of the things that were farther back in the lagoon! Overall I thought a really fun time - good price for how many hours and how much fun was had!"

"Great place with large, fun obstacle courses! Perfect for kids, but also challenging enough to keep adults engaged. A fantastic spot for active family fun."

"Wai Kai was so fun! My kids and us parents loved it! Before we went we were worried that the obstacles would be too “little kid-ish” but they weren’t! we signed up for both courses and they were so fun! Some of the jump offs and slides were really big, and the obstacles were hard for us older people! We fell quite a bit! (But it was hilarious and fun!) The surf simulator was fantastic! Very challenging, but awesome. The instructors and all of the people at the park were very kind and helpful. Additionally, it was clean, which is always important to me when going to was a water activity spot! We highly recommend Wai Kai for a family fun day!"

"My husband and son did Aquapeeks + Aquaventure obstacle course. They both enjoyed the experience and welcomed the challenge. The sessions weren't overbooked so they were able to go at their own pace without feeling pressure from others. The balcony seating area was fantastic for front row seats to the action. Plus, I could enjoy some adult beverages whilst watching 🍻 Food and drinks are overpriced but that is to be expected in a venue like this. Staff were generally OK, but none of them were overly welcoming. We might go again in the future, but still happy to recommend for others."

"Everything is great except that they seem to allow some staff to surf with the staff shirts on similarly as other guests. (I’m not talking about the coaching session.) I think it’s perfectly fine for the staff to surf, but they shouldn’t surf in the staff role because that creates some unfairness or at least confusion or appearance of unfairness. For example, the surfer with the staff shirts (the wai kai shirt) can possibly get preferential treatment or they may make orders to other co-surfer in the same session. It’s not like this has to be bad and in most cases it’s fine, but it makes the other surfers in the same session feel that they are second class citizens and get confused if they should listen to the order of the surfer in the staff shirt. This happened to me once. It could be a coincidence but I felt that the management should disallow regular surfing (not coaching or other purposes) with a staff t-shirt—- It sounds quite uncontroversial."
