from Google"Tucked away off Ena road, Aloha Kitchen is a must stop place for breakfast and brunch. We decided to get there before it opened and to our surprise there was already a line forming. They have a sign in sheet so if you do choose to get there early, put your name down and once they open they will call your name out. We had the pleasure of being greeted by one of their workers who just oozes energy and hospitality. Immediately made us feel welcome and cracked jokes to lighten the mood while the rest waited outside for their seats. Although the interior is small and cozy, it does hold quite a bit of tables and seats. Ordered the souffle pancakes which were super light and fluffy covered with coconut cream sauce and topped with crushed macadamia nuts. The cream sauce had just the right amount of sweetness to it which was not overbearing sweet where you couldn't finish it. Also ordered the eggs Benedict which was savory and well seasoned. The eggs were poached perfectly and was not over salted. Definitely recommend stopping by here for one of your morning breakfast/ brunch when you visit the islands in the Waikiki area. Parking is very limited but if you're lucky, there are places to find parking on the street nearby."
"💠 This solid, no-frills breakfast spot in Waikiki served us the Loco Moco (beef) and Egg Sammy bagel sandwich. The Loco Moco is a must-try Hawaiian dish, while the bagel sandwich was a filling and solid breakfast choice. Despite feeling full, it wasn’t greasy or heavy like diners like IHOP or Denny’s. All interactions with the servers were warm and intentional. We’ll definitely get a sweet breakfast soufflé pancake next time. 💠 There’s no designated parking, but you can Uber drop off or park on the street. I’ve included two paid public parking spots (less than a 1-minute walk). 💠 For context we arrived at 7 am with three parties ahead of us. The restaurant uses a paper waitlist, and the host will call names starting at 7:30 am. If you decide to take a walk to pass the time, please make sure you return before your name is called."
"My wife and I have a rule on vacation you can’t eat at chain restaurants or eat at the same place twice. This place popped up with good reviews. It didn’t disappoint. Food was good. Staff was super friendly and funny. Only downside is it is small so there can be a wait."
"My first time ever trying a soufflé pancake and it did NOT disappoint! Mine was so fluffy and light, I specifically ordered the fruit pancake because I didn’t want too much sauce/syrup. Needless to say it was absolutely scrumptious! Definitely come early because lines do form, but they are very good at seating people as quickly as possible. Workers were very friendly and always checked in. I will absolutely be back when I’m in Honolulu again."
"I’ve never been to a more fun restaurant with fun, bright, positive energy! Good food, big portions, reasonably priced, and casual atmosphere. The wait was every bit of 45 minutes and there is no room to wait inside, but the wait is soooooooo worth it! Every time a patron walked in, the entire restaurant yells Aloha (the kids get really into it), which really feels fun and welcoming. The staff is all very energetic and friendly, and they all seem to work well together to keep the food moving. Once inside the restaurant, you don’t really wait for anything, and it’s impressive to see the entire staff working together. I had iced coffee…this was my first time having Kona drip coffee, and I swear I saw the face of God on the first sip…it was sooooo good! We had to try the Souffle pancakes, and that day the chefs special was a mango sauce. I had a breakfast sandwich which was delicious. We walked from the Royal Hawaiian Hotel which was a bit of a walk but very doable and the day was nice with a soft breeze. I highly recommend trying this place if you are visiting Waikiki. Will be back if we ever get the chance."
