What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"Dean & DeLuca consistently delivers, and I have to say that they serve the BEST matcha latte around, hands down. Whether you get it hot or iced, it’s smooth, creamy, and perfectly delicious. I seriously crave it all the time! The goodness has to be in their secret ingredient for sure! Every time I have visited here, the staff is extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. During one of my many matcha latte fixes, I also tried the croque monsieur and it was absolutely delicious. They have a ton of pastries on display. I haven’t personally tried them, but they’re very picturesque. They also have a mini shop inside for people to buy unique Hawaii inspired treats to take home or give as gifts. While there’s no indoor seating, there are quite a few outdoor tables available, which makes it a nice spot to sip, snack, and people-watch. Currently, there’s a dust curtain up due to nearby construction, but I’m excited about the future vision of this area with the new park space opening sometime next year. When that happens, Dean & DeLuca will be in a prime spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Can’t wait to see how it all comes together once the park is complete! In the meantime, you can find me here on the regular, grabbing a matcha latte."
"Most of the staff are very friendly. Seatings outdoor are nice with some breeze. Coffee was average while the walnut raisins bread were not that ideal as it's supposed to be healthy bread but the outer crust got too much "charcoal" which is not too healthy, and the inside you can see some part of the dough was not fully cooked. Overall pricey. 2 stars are for the environment and some friendly staffs only. 2025 December second visit The options and varieties of either drinks, sweets or savories are much better than it was. I like the matcha latte with custom options. The cake of the day was grape friut cake which was moisture. It would be nicer if less sweet is available. Overall experience better than first visit."
"compared to Brug or Paris Baugette, D&D is more traditional parisian cakes and croissants. not much sweet “buns” like a typical japanese/hybrid bakery. D&D is a massive chain, it’s strictly by-da-book pastries that lack any WOW factor. everything looks great, but only tastes “pretty good.” at best. its more of a meeting place, get few pretty pastries and hang out drinking tea with your pinkies out. some people love the merch for collecting while they travel. its not for everyone but a good addition to the burgeoning kaako neighborhood"
"This shop is tucked away in a pleasant neighborhood, surrounded by tall buildings, which keeps it peaceful. And there’s plenty of outdoor seating with nice chairs. Latte is good but my favorite drink is the Hawaiian sea salt frappe, sweet enough with a strong coffee kick. They offer a variety of unique quick bites at reasonable prices too. And they have the best croissants!"
"At the end of a dead-end road so there’s little to no traffic & they should have music on imo. Surprised how affordable the espresso is relative to other cafes in town. The chic store has an open dog park area and soon to be built complex adjacent, as well as the new pedestrian bridge over Ala Moana Blvd. nearby. Flies and bugs are a serious problem they need to address, no seating inside so I had to leave. If they add seating inside or eliminate the bugs, this place is rated higher. 🤙🏼"
