What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"MUST COME!! Don't let anything stop you from coming here. Whether you just want good coffee and dessert or a bite to eat, this is your stop. The Food, I didn't try any of the savoury foods besides the beef empanadas so I can't say for the quality of those but they all looked good and had a good amount of variety with a few different choices each day. The beef empanadas were a bit salty but tasted good. They are a good snack when your kinda hungry or something quick after a few hrs on the beach. The coffee, get the salted caramel latte, I got decaf and oat milk and it was the smoothest rich coffee taste(not the too sugary stuff you get elsewhere) especially the first sip with the foam...best coffee I had on Oahu! The second time I got it, there was a bit too much salt which gave it a bite at the end of the cup, so it may depend on who makes it. I also tried the Honey latte with oat milk which wasn't as strong of a coffee flavour as the other so I would get an extra shot of espresso with that one next time. The desserts, the almond croissant and Basque cheesecake were favorites 😍 😋 The texture and flavors were right on. Smooth and creamy cheesecakes with just the right amount of baked sides. The croissant is buttery and flaky and has an almost cake like textured almond covering on it plus more almond paste in the croissant. The pumpkin cheesecake was a great seasonal choice and tasted almost as if it was made with real pumpkin!? For sugar addicts it may have been too bland though as I didn't find it having that strong sugary flavoury that most boxed cheesecakes have. A MUST stop on your travels in Oahu! Enjoy!!"
"Great experience with my friend for their afternoon tea. Made a reservation a week prior for a Thursday 3pm. Complimentary valet parking at the Ritz (just need cash tip). We were surprised at how small the second floor was for seating. There was a large 8-person group and then maybe 3 sets of pairs. The staff was very friendly and helped explain everything. We chose the hot teas for more variety: Fauchon apple, Hobbs spicy chai, Marco Polo and Whittard Darjeeling. Raisin scone was alright, not super moist which is typical. But the second course sweet potato soup was so delish! The savory tray had a yummy variety, our favs were the smoked salmon and chicken curry. The dessert tray was pretty! We loved all but the lilikoi dome stood out! Ended with pineapple li hing mui sorbet before given a cute little cookie bag. Afterwards shopped downstairs for their exclusive merch! Would love to come back again when I’m back visiting."
"What a great find for fantastic food choices. The salads, sandwiches, personal pizzas and cakes were amazing! The staff is friendly, lots of seating outside. But these best part is the price! Definitely A great option in Honolulu."
"5 course afternoon tea at the Ritz Carlton Dean and Deluca in Waikiki?! And I had never been until my birthday week this year? Crazy!!! Apparently this tea time has been around for a couple of years! Some items on the menu items do change but the core is the same. The restaurant offers a free 3-hour parking validation with their hotel valet (only accessible from Kalakaua side). Just make sure to bring cash tip. They take you upstairs to the dine in side, as downstairs is purely bakeshop. Service is excellent. You have a choice of either 1 coffee/iced tea option or 2 hot tea options per person. I chose a German "Green Angel" which was a fruity green tea *with notes of pear. The second tea I chose was a light black tea "Afternoon in Paris" with notes of Rose Petals and Vanilla. Both were beautiful and my teapot was refilled multiple times without me asking. First course of a petit scone with cream and jam was very nice. I didn't care for the second course of the seafood "pot pie". The seafood bisque was too fishy and unpleasant. And the saffron seasoning didn't help. Third course was the savory small bites/tea sandwiches. Some were better than others. Some of the items change from time to time. Definitely best were the shrimp on rosemary/herbs foccacia and the ratatouille jelly slices. Least favorite was the katsu sandwich and the edamame stuffed mushroom cap. Not well executed at all. Fourth course was a tray of sweets including a rose cream puff (not bad!), rose infused macaron (beautiful!), matcha chocolate cake bite (very good!), etc. My least favorits were definitely the lemon curd tart and the pistachio cake with fresh raspberries. Couldn't finish everything so they generously packaged everything up nicely. The fifth and last course of the yuzu sorbet was so freshing and delicious! They gave out complimentary cookies and 2 tea packets each. It is a beautiful way to treat yourself and converse with a group as well. Very easy parking and excellent service I'd expect from an establishment housed at a Ritz-Carlton. Would come back to treat others."
"I absolutely love this cafe. It is the one located at Ritz Carlton in Waikiki. I went there just before lunch and there was a bit of line up however it went by really quickly. The cashier was very friendly and polite. She explained some of the items on the menu really well. I had the musubi of the day, grilled cheese for my daughter and salt caramel blended coffee ( sorry this may not be the exact name) The musubi is more of a snack size, no surprise there; was a little disappointed with the filling tho it tasted good. Grilled cheese is a decent size and my daughter rated it 5 out of 5. I love my coffee, blended to perfection and just the right amount of sweetness. I just wished I didn’t share with my husband since I could definitely finish the whole thing. There’s lots of great selection especially the sweets, lots of cool merchandise from mugs to tote bags, a bit pricey for me so I didn’t pick up anything. There’s also plenty of seating outside; has a relaxed atmosphere, people watching vibe. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Hawaii and I highly recommend visiting this location."
