What People Are Saying
from Google & Yelp"I recently visited this coffee shop, which opened about a month ago, on a Thursday morning. It wasn't too crowded, which made for a relaxed visit. The shop itself is lovely—it's clean, spacious, and has a wonderful aroma of fresh pastries. Hawaiian music playing softly in the background adds to the pleasant atmosphere. I was impressed by the variety of food and bought several items for my coworkers. They particularly enjoyed the banana bread, pumpkin bread, ube croissant, and cereal croissant, which were all delicious. The cashier was very nice, friendly, and patient while taking my order, and even offered to leave space in my coffee cups for cream and sugar. The seating area is all outdoors, either facing South King Street or in a quieter larger spot behind the building. While this might appeal to some, I personally prefer indoor seating, so I wasn't a fan of this setup. My main issue with the visit was the service. Two of the people behind the counter were constantly making and tasting espresso, while the other two were busy with orders. My four drip coffees were made and left sitting on the counter for a full five minutes before the cashier noticed that no one was helping her and finally called my name for pick up. The drip coffee itself was decent, but I wasn't particularly impressed by it. I'd be willing to try their cold brew or pour-over in the future, but the slow service and decent coffee didn't leave me eager to come back."
"Have either savory or sweet pastries and trendy matcha drinks and desserts. Sit inside or in covered seating outside away from the street. It's popular with University of Hawaii students. The coffee was good and the chocolate chip sea salt cookies were tasty."
"Finally visited the new location on King Street since it’s reopening! Location is prime! With parking as well, with an hour free, it makes for a perfect stop-in spot. The pastry and culinary department in general - top tier. Amazing items, even more creative options now from their last location and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is solid; indoor and outdoor spacious seating, a must have for a shop and a great continued feature of this spot. Drink menu is solid, multiple options for coffee and tea drinkers alike which I appreciate. My ONLY gripe with the new location/menu… the breakfast burrito’s side “white sauce” is gone!? The look on my face today made the barista laugh. Oh man… management if you’re reading this, I’ll petition to bring back that sauce! This breakfast burrito is top tier, 8/10 as a standalone for my taste buds, but that sauce made it an 11/10. I would drive out of my way constantly to get that breakfast burrito on a monthly basis. Truly my favorite on the island (with the side sauces). Please (please please) consider bringing back that side sauce item and the 4/5 star review will change in an instant! Otherwise, I’ll gladly take the recipe to bring it myself and call it even 😂 Love this spot and keep up the amazing business!"
"I went several times consistent exp. Staff: Gen friendly, Atmos: Cool. If you're seeking a good espresso based coffee this might not be your place. The banana bread was surprisingly good. You're paying more for the brand than quality of coffee. I won't return."
"Such amazing baked goods and drinks! Got the yuzu special tea for the month and ube croissant! The staff is so sweet also!"
"I love Honolulu Coffee and finally got to check out their newest location on my day off. My mom and I parked in the back lot (1 hour free and each hour..."
