"We stopped in for a quick bite and to kill some time before an appointment. We parked on a side st and walked over. We ordered the Vegetarian Breakfast Burrito ( I wanted the one with meat, but they sold out), Acai Bowl, a Macadamia Nut Frappe, and a water. The Burrito was better than I expected. It tasted like there was actual meat in it, the sauce with it added a subtle tang which complimented it well. ( I'm not sure if it was mayo and Sirracha) The Acai Bowl was packed to the top, and the fruit was fresh. The Mac Nut Frappe was creamy and refreshing. The View and Setting is Unmatched for the experience. Service was friendly and fast. Will definitely be back and recommend. Kai Coffee is also located in the Hyatt Hotel across the St. And also on Kapahulu near rainbow drive-in."

"Stumbled upon this gem on a walk today. So many craft coffee options available in Waikīkī why go to international competitors? I typically drink black coffee and an occasional latte. Today I splurged for their signature drink, a macadamia nut latte. Two shots and very coffee forward. The nut placid was just enough and better than a hazelnut flavor I would get elsewhere. Although priced a bit high IMO, the atmosphere and seating made it worth the extra buck or two. Please visit."

"I visited this coffee shop, specifically the location ocean-side, several times, both with friends and alone, prior to writing this review. The best word to describe this Kai Coffee location is ‘inconsistent’. Both the service and the quality of the coffee drinks are inconsistent. When it is good, it is very, very good, and when it is bad it tastes like they made the drink from grinds already pulled for the last customer’s drink - so weak it tastes like a used tea bag. On those days, it would be better to go to a fast food chain down the street. There are non-dairy milk options. The food is wildly expensive for consistently mediocre quality and flavor. There are some vegetarian menu items. The view is nice, especially for those who are new to Waikiki Beach. The live music is professional and authentic. There are no bathrooms or parking."

"It’s an open-air café right on the ocean side of Kalakaua—one step and you’re in the sand. They’ve got coffee that actually tastes like coffee. Breakfast, sandwiches, acai bowls, frappes—simple stuff, nothing pretentious. There’s no wall between you and the ocean, just you, your food, and that big blue horizon. This isn’t some curated beach experience—it’s real. No WiFi. No power outlet. No one pretending to answer emails. It’s just you, a cup of coffee, and the Pacific staring back at you. You’re not here to plug in—you’re here to unplug. No scrolling, no screens, no distractions. Just the sound of the surf, the heat of the sun, and the bitter, beautiful simplicity of caffeine and waikiki beach."

"I had a acai bowl, it wasn’t worth. Too sweet and small. It wasn’t great service either. He was busy with his phone while taking orders and making orders. Great view and location. Typical tourism cafe"

"Delicious cold brew with a killer view! Usually stop here after my morning run to fuel up."
